If you remove the sound, you may be removing part of their enjoyment of the emote. This is one of those things where you won’t satisfy everyone. Learn to live with what exists

Out of a lot of valid complaints, the broom emote is your problem ? really ?

I've seen many broom parties in Limsa. They will forever remain undeterred. It's not a big deal to me either way. If it's annoying, I'll simply leave, but they aren't breaking any rules. But yeah, an option to turn off emote sounds wouldn't be a bad idea at all, in my opinion. They let us do it with Performance (best decision I've ever made). I don't see why that couldn't be extended to loud emotes, or just emotes in general.

It doesn't bother me, but I don't have that condition (yet). That would be reasonable too though.

You actually can, go into System Config, down to Player Effects Volume, and set "Other PCs" to 0. You won't be able to hear ability SFX, crafting, emotes etc from random players anymore which is very nice since I no longer have to be subjected to annoying crafting noises when I'm comparing prices on different servers.

Huh. The more you know, I guess. lol Somehow I missed this addition somewhere along the way.

I had no clue, thank you for saving my ears, and my head from the constant ringing these crafting animations trigger

Probably better to make a separate sfx channel for emotes

Yeah I think that would help a lot, not just with the sweeping emote but also with the other emotes like the lalas "Woah!" and so on.
