So far each patch of 6.x is more trash that the one before it. Why people willing to take such trash?
I get that new players got some old content they maybe can do. But older players gets nothing that lasting more that a weak.....
What you think can save solve this problem?
As for "just stop play" when this month sub runs out I don't pay for more. May be return in 7.x if blue protocol will be a fail.

A ton of people deeply love this patch cycle so far. It gives us time to play other games. You see, you just need to wait your turn until your patch comes out. Just two more months until the next one is announced! You just need to pay $26. In comparison, a movie with popcorn costs $30+. A night at the strip club can cost even more. And don’t get me started with those $70+ games. We’re all hyped for the future patch. Me, personally? I’m enjoying 6.35. There’s new items, a new DD, new characters, and most importantly? It’s the same old game we all know and love, so I can just do Crystal Tower over and over again. Take that, WoW! Did you know that World of Warcraft cut half of their playable content? FFXIV isn’t like that! You can play through everything! That’s what makes us the best MMO right now. And who doesn’t like to finish a game and then move on? FFXIV respects our time. I can play for an hour or so on the weekends and then resume my other games. In fact, you don’t even need to play to continue your sub. You can just log on for 5 minutes a day, that’s all you have to do. It’s not that much of a hardship to keep subbed. And still, there’s SO much to do. Where’s your Big Fish? Your Necromancer? Why don’t you have all of the mounts? Your Lodestone shows that you haven’t even gotten 100% of the achievements. Why are you complaining about lack of content? Honestly, I’ll never be bored of FFXIV, this is easily the best game ever and I wish I could tip the developers when paying my sub.

Because SE caters now to the (E)RP/casual/afk community, take a look around the mod community, they can do whatever they want with the client and also sync their mods/options with others with Mare, basically there is no need to even release glams anymore.

Yoshida is NOT one of the devas. I think he's a regular guy, actually. Speaking of which, you can say the same with mice and keyboards that have built in macro features. What about offbrand PS4/5 controllers that have those same features? Where is 3rd party websites such as discord and eurekatracker in this situation? Of course you should outlaw obvious mods that cheapen the fight such as camera hacks, the ones that show you untelegraphed AoEs, the one that shows you where traps are in DD, ect. but I seriously doubt texture hacks will suddenly change your PvE game.

I think you have it backwards. The modding came about because SE wouldn't cater to what people wanted in the first place. For years, players asked SE to give us more glam plates (at least 1 for every combat/doh/dol job) and for the ability to tie things like hairstyle to glam plates. Players also asked for a wide range of glams, from stylish casual outfits to lore appropriate gear, to scion cosplay stuff. SE's response was to barely deliver on these things. We got more glam plates after a few years, but it still wasn't enough to even accommodate every playable job, despite every playable job having unique gear. Character attributes like hairstyle still can't be tied to glams. Outfits are released at a trickle and they vary in quality and accessibility. Sometimes it's a real banger item in the base game via event; other times it's a really bad onepiece undyeable scion outfit in the cash shop. Other times it's a bad looking undyeable event item that looks like it was designed by a 65 year old man with no fashion sense. It's all over the place.

And so, in response to this, the modding community you're referring to exists to the extent that it currently does. And they've given themselves all of the QoL features that I mentioned we're still missing. If SE had simply beaten some of these enthusiasts to the punch or even addressed these issues at all, I seriously doubt someone would have gone and created solutions in their free time for free. Meanwhile, SE isn't about to stop producing glams just because modders exist, because even some half-assed undyeable gaia onesie sells like crazy. Doesn't even matter that modders gave the players a multiple-piece dyeable gaia set over a year ago when shb was still relevant; I still saw everyone and their mother wearing that ugly ass gaia cosplay the week it released on the cash shop. Mogstation glams print money no matter what; a trickle of decent in game event items print good will (think about all the people who tweeted about the samurai outfit with the low res uggo tattoo, so much free advertising). Modders won't stop SE from producing glams. Modders have existed for years and SE's continued producing glams. If SE actually addressed QoL in a meaningful way, most mods would have no reason to exist.

Every single addon we get the same people crying about how this or that patch is bad and they don't understand how people keep playing.

Newsflash: Stop doing stuff you do not like. No one is forcing you to keep paying your sub. Even Yoshida said so.
