What is your favorite part of FFIXV?

Just curious as to what people enjoy in the game, and the reasons why.

Please do not hate on each other and argue about what other people like, everyone is different.

For me personally it is Extreme Trials.

They are a good middle ground between casual and hardcore combat. Interesting enough to keep your focus without being overbearing like some Savage fights.

What is your favorite part of FFIXV?

Raiding, although I have to admit I was disappointed with some of the fights in Abyssos as well as TOP. P5S was a great first fight, and P8S was a great last fight outside of when Dog 1 comes first and NA1 being frustrating to learn, but I liked High Concept enough to forgive that. P6S and P7S were a bit of a letdown considering they had so much potential from normal mode. TOP's just a mess and I think everyone probably has heard about that enough times lol.

I'm hoping that we get a really good raid tier in 6.4. Asphodelos was amazing, so I'm on hopium that we can get a return to that tier's quality.

Other than raiding, I do like glamour a lot, even if I think the system could be expanded upon. I'm also pretty invested in the story of the current raid series, and hopefully that'll have a good ending come next patch.

I lost interest in the game in general some time during the last tier but I continued to enjoy raiding, the prospect of switching from BLM back to healer and healing with someone I worked well with in the past and the people in my static in general made it appealing for me to raid for another tier. P5s was great for me, I loved it from start to finish. P6s was a huge letdown for me, P7s had potential but fairly boring for me outside Purgation as well and while I liked the mechanics on part 1 in general, I dislike the strong "study up"/ smoke & mirror mechanics direction so I decided it's going to be my last tier. I liked Ex 4 for not doing that.

Other than that, housing.
While it can be annoying that you have to rely on glitches and how restricted a lot of things are even with glitches, housing in general is still something I like in games and FFXIV has a nice selections of items for designs I usually go for like all the plants and wooden things. I'll probably get my housing fix in solo or another f2p game if I really need to scratch that itch.

I usually like to do dungeons and overworld content but I admit that dungeons here and FATEs are not particularly appealing for me. Eden/ Pandemonium normal raids were sometimes fun, though. At least when I got a few first timers and/ or half-asleep people, p3 could turn into glorious chaos.

Raiding is my favorite part of the game because of process of learning each fight in addition to the people you meet while raiding. Builds camaraderie.

For me, it's probably the music and the huge variety of things to do. I've been playing on and off since 2015, and then as my main MMO for about 2 years now, and I still have a nice "to-do" list of things I'm either in the middle of or looking forward to, from finishing my last ARR relic once I level NIN a bit more, to finishing the Variant paths and checking out Criterion and IS, to doing the old Sightseeing logs, to leveling crafters and gatherers...so many years in and I still always have something I'm enjoying and something else I'm looking forward to enjoying. And the music - well, it's FF, so you know it's going to be sweet. The various battle themes in particular I've found amazing.

I absolutely love all Bosses (Not Ultimate). Any content that lets me DDR and have fun with mechanics is a winner for me. Partly why I really loved Bozja and wish they'd use Critical Engagements more as world content or literally put it in anything else.

The only thing that can really make it better, aside from general Combat updates - Reduce the 'snapshot' latency/window. Increase the tick rate so I'm not always living a whole second in the past.

Edit: If I could do dungeons without the trash in the middle of each boss - That would be amazing. #getridofaoetrash

Housing, Crafting, and Achievement hunting.

Granted, I do think crafting is a husk of its former self, but there is still fun to be had, and granted I would like more things that aren't legacy veteran rewards, to spend my certificates on.

I guess I could add Triple Triad onto this, but this is something that is kind-of a fleeting enjoyment thing for me, and equally something pretty low on my list of things to do, even though I've had fun with it.

The ability to level everything on one character.
The story, even though sometimes I hate it; I still find it fun to critique it.
The glamour system doesn't cost real money to use and there is no limit on it. (I came from vindictus and you had to purchase fusion items every time you wanted to glam something.)
The amount of activities that exist.

What is your favorite part of FFIXV?

MSQ.
I personally love the characters and the Overall story and am ever curious to further see how it develops.

I know this is an MMO, but I love that its very Narrative Heavy and Focused, and I actually like being in a Group who all agree and work towards a common Goal.
With the only conflict, being from the Antagonist, and of course the typical Political Drama.

Im always excited to hear the next and newest track for each patch and Content. And Im a believer that a good OST helps make fights & content more fun and memorable
