They put “most” in descriptions to account for instances that are specifically meant to ignore such things (in this case to account for debuffs that are simply not supposed to be cleansed). Tank invulns for example all have “ignores most instances of damage” in their description to account for, say, an enrage or ultimate attack that will kill you even with an invuln up.

I don’t think it’s the intention of the “most” descriptor to allow them to make it completely arbitrary if they will work or not.

You could make a game where all you did was run through fields of flowers holding hands and you'd still get a guy telling you you're doing it wrong.

I think if they wanted to do that then they would need to give us a cleanse on all classes. Because paralysis is still one of those effects that has a significant effect and tanks and non-bard DPS can't always avoid getting hit with it. The most egregious example I can think of is the trash if a tank doesn't stun it on Puppet's Bunker. Not having the ability to clear your own paralyze there when the healers won't is debilitating for DPS. I always keep Spine Drops handy for that section, even though you usually get hit with it again before they're off CD.

People who try to solo POTD/HOH and now EO definitely keep a stock of these things on hand.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

Looks like this needs a write up or 20 into the bug form.
