    So do spine drops just… not work?

    Got hit by a removable paralysis while running eureka orthos so I popped my spine drops that have been sitting in my inventory since the dawn of time just to get a message saying they had no effect…

    We don’t get paralyzed that often in this game, it would be nice if when we do, the item that exists specifically to remove paralysis would… remove paralysis…

    It might only work on paralysis debuffs that can be cleansed by esuna. Not 100% sure if that's the case but that's what I'd imagine the problem to be.

    Nope, it was a removable paralysis, had the line above it.

    They forgot. Nobody at the company expected any players to keep that trash in their inventory. It's the truth. But there's always someone. I'm not criticizing you for doing so, it's just the most likely explanation.

    I always have spine drops on my hotbar when playing non-healers; I absolutely hate getting paralyzed. They do indeed work in regular content, but I haven’t tried the deep dungeon yet. What Iscah said above does happen quite often. That seems a likely possibility.

    People who try to solo POTD/HOH and now EO definitely keep a stock of these things on hand.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

    Can't tell what the specific circumstances are..,
    Haven't had a chance to use spine drops in Orthos yet.., and Echo had very few uses..,

    Will have to see later on..,

    But there really shouldn't be a reason for its lack of work.., let's see after the maint.

    They absolutely still work, I use them regularly. It could be some unusual circumstance or it could be them mislabeling the paralysis as removable when it isn't. Spine drops won't remove non-Esuna-able paralysis.
