With the new quest, I feel moon housing just has to be a thing. Maybe with some of those crystal trees and a little themeparkish. What do you guys think?

I remember Smileton. I'm not sure I could really trust the Lopporits to create housing.
On a more serious side, while I'm in favor of options I'm not certain that would be appealing in the long term. Theme parks are generally places you want to visit, not live in. Certainly the skyscape on the moon is fantastic but the landscape doesn't have much to offer even if the housing area was made to look like Endsvale. If FFXIV's housing system were more like RIFTs, it would work but I don't see it working in a ward system.
The entire east side of Bestways (Endsvale yeah) has the perfect layout for housing plots with a few minor adjustments. I wouldn't be opposed to us just getting that area with changes to add vendors/boards/ect. And some of us are so desperate for a house you could put it in a white empty void and we'd take it, landscape be damned.I remember Smileton. I'd even go as far as to say prevent any relocation to any of the new wards on the moon for the first bidding cycle on all new smalls so people who still do not have a house (I've been waiting since 2.4, still nothing.) can finally get one after almost a decade of never having any housing.
Given their ideas on what they thought the modern people of Etheirys/Hydaelyn wore or ate, I wouldn't trust them to create anything frankly... (at least, anything that isn't a carrot.)
Although, I shouldn't be too hard on them, it's not their fault Venat made them that way and only gave them vague instructions.
On a serious note though, I don't really think gameplay wise the moon is really set up for player housing - it's only accessable from a certain point in EW anyway, so the excuse Kugane and Ishgard housing can use to allow players access who haven't reached those areas just no longer flies if somehow they were able to live on the moon. Not to mention the moon's purpose being a huge spoiler anyway. So, like requests for Crystarium player housing, I sadly don't see this happening.
That did seem to be the entire point of the one dungeon so it's more likely than you think.
I'd rather they made player housing in Old Sharlayan to be honest
It won’t happen but I would love a city like Radz where instead of individual houses, it would be instanced housing with an inner courtyard or a roof balcony depending on size.

Each town and the moon getting some form of housing would be great
Will put you on ignore if you can't form a logical argument but argue nonetheless
Potential also there for Garlemald reconstruction, although I don’t think I’d want to live there! lol
The biggest problem with most suggestions is that they're loaded with spoilers. Assume you're just starting out and you go to Empyreum. All that really spoils is that eventually Ishgard allows foreigners in. Kugane just spoils that there's *something* out east. Sharlayan would barely be a spoiler, since its mentioned as early as 2.0.
But what about the Crystarium? Other shards? And you can travel to one? Garlemald? So the war is over then. Don't even get me started on the moon.
I'll be very surprised if the next housing zone isn't Sharlayan or whatever we get in 7.0, if only because those are really the only viable options.
