I also have a learning disability & although everyone is different, I've tried every class
Currently I am playing MONK & I practice my rotation everyday
I watch as many guides & look at the balance discord & talk to the people who seem the most patient & able to break stuff down to a baby level
For over a week, it felt like I was trying to learn an entirely different language & play something outside of my ability set
I often step outside of my comfort zone to test what I can- often people lose their patience with me because I am the "bash head against wall" type.
Regardless of any steps I took to prepare myself beforehand

today things finally clicked with MONK
I'm still getting used to it but I actually felt progress

I'd say start with Dancer or Summoner for sure
Black Mage even has a nice build up & is very simple - literally just remember to keep thunder dot up. When thunder dot (damage over time) gets low, reapply it
With Dancer, apply speed before pull. Don't forget dance partner for buff
Summoner has a very 1, 2, 3 skillset & is great for beginners & folks who are trying to get into something imo

MONK is literally- 1 skill gives dps buff. 1 skill gives a Dot. Use those 2 then use other skills & only apply dps & dot buff when they near run out.

Just always, always study & practice.

Could have just been a Job boost from the Store. It brings your chosen Job to 80.

It's definitely Samurai or Dark Knight. Definitely.

I wouldn't really recommend paladin as a "simple starter job" right now, it's rotation is kind of jank and has a number of oddities. Well, except of course that people don't look at tanks' damage too closely usually, so one could perhaps just ignore the magic and DoT parts and spam the 1-2-3 (or 1-2 for aoe) portion I suppose. And of course, positioning and enmity mistakes are the most visible in the game.

Ill thrown in BLM, i think it has some jank optimization stuff but the general playstyle is very easy, static rotation where you dont really have to throw out oGCDs alot. Especially for casual content its probably the easiest together with SMN. Its not the end of the world (in casual content) when you drop your UI/AF since your damage is very GCD based, so if you drop AF you only lose the extra damage for one cast then you are back to max AF anyway. And i assume she wont be going into ultimate or savage any time soon?

not really, the MSQ is mostly teleport - walk - talk, the solo instances can be set to "very easy" after your first failure and then can be pretty much completed with autohits. And the required dungeons can usually be carried by one player doing anything slightly above "spamming 1-2-3 combo"

Its a very easy game outside the endgame

It’s not just how easy the rotation is but how much attention & reaction are required. Generally with tanks, rotations are easy but you need to pay attention and best know fights or you’ll be a dead weight for the team, leading them to wipes.

As DPS jobs go, I would say Mechanist is rather straight forward and a good candidate. I can’t say for casters as they’re not my cup of tea but RDM was pretty simple too. Then again, what I might see as easy might not be for someone else.

I would not recommend dancer or bard here due to rng and being support roles that require the user to be able to adjust and manage resources. Also the “press the shiny buttons” on dancer has a random order and timing wise, it often happens at busy times and requires to watch what others are doing if you want to play it well.

And I disagree with the person mentioning BLM. BLM is a busy job and it is best when someone knows the fights or at least know mechanics to be able to maximize uptime and not spend their time running around wasting resources.

Summoner has a more static rotation and is the easiest and the person can focus on remembering colors. There are possible variations if it is to be optimized - when to use what in fights- but it doesn’t really matter for casual content and it doesn’t impact the group like dnc or brd. It’s also pretty mobile (just a bit less during the ruby phase). Mch and Rdm are more busy.

That being said, everyone is different and in the end, it all depends on the learning disability and ability/ facility to deal with a changing environment.

So, I've met this girl with "x" on a dating app, yada yada, her first character was a Paly, but she kept saying how it was too hard and wanted to switch classes, so I told her to go to Dancer such I personally found it to be the easiest class in the game. However, she complains the Steps of Dancer is too hard, so I'm wondering what is the best class for her?

Note: I wasn't pressuring her to play FFXIV, she already had an account and kept saying she wanted to play with me when she saw my Christmas photos in messenger and on my profile. But have been recently having issues with class difficulty.

What do you suggest she should play? Help?
Bard have easy rotations and the fact you can keep moving while attacking make easier to avoid AoEs (a problem all casters have) and since it is ranged, she can easily see where everything is in screen. All the bard boosts can be executed in any order she wants (just tell her which one is more apropriated for bosses and for trash mobs) and there you go! Easiest one imo

The second one I think it's monk. Easy rotations 'cause you can't missclick the next one (unless you use form shift). But, the downside is the fact it's a melee job and things could be messy if a lot of aoes and visual effects are turned on. Also, the positionals can take a while to master.

The third one I think it's RDM. Have a fair easy rotations and it's ranged... mostly. The only downside it's the initial static cast and the mastery of the dualcasting. But it's a really nice choice as well.

And for the forth I'd go for Summoner, but it's a static job. So, it's important to positionate in key places around target to avoid casting cancels to run. But, it's quite easy to understand the job's mechanics.

The last one (a fifth?) would be machinist. The only catch to master is the windows to mix with Gauss Rounds when you got overheated. The basic rotation is easy to catch. But it's a job with a lot of buttons pressing in a short time. So, take a while to make it optimal. And it's ranged, which is always good for people's eye.

She could have done MSQ Roulette to get from 50-80 or other ways of easy EXP.

Redmage was already said but i want to double down on it. It's rather simple.

I'd say have her try all of the classes, one by one. Have her start with the classes that unlock at level 1. Pick whichever one is the most fun for her. If she's enjoying herself, then she'll be more motivated to learn and master it. Don't put a time limit on learning the job. Can spam low level content as much as possible until she feels comfortable. Take advantage of the level synch feature. Her job level could be 30, but she can still go into level 15 satasha and train in there.
