People are not saying “wait until 6.35”. They are saying that 6.3, 6.31, 6.35, 6.38 are part of the same major patch and to judge all of their content together as a whole.

You really think they listen? Take a look at this company over the last several years, it’s literally their game plan…not listening to fans.

So they all have different opinions. No matter who SE listens to, they can’t win. If they satisfy 33%, the other two 33% with a different two opinions are upset. SE has to make a decision ultimately.

We have coffers now instead of random drops.



Savage delayed during normal release patches instead of only on expansion releases (something I didn't want changed actually).



We have had a ton of feedback taken into account for changes made in game.

Dead game is dead, or something like that.

I mean, the active player counts are higher than usual, the devs are seeing increasing accessibility result in more subscriptions, so they're going to double down on it. HW simps might mald over the game being 'dumbed-down' or whatever, but SE won't listen if the money tells them otherwise.

Funny one thing WoD had was laborious grinds for reps before Tanaan Jungle and even after it's addition some were still horrible. I remember spending hours doing one of them in Shadowmoon Valley just killing mobs but the name escapes me. Was fun to group with people to kill the harder enemies for more rep.

Tanaan Jungle wasn't awful per say (it actually had a lot to do) but it had the unfortunate timing of coming after 6.1, and horrible content besides outside of raiding, and at the end of WoD itself which had been abandoned in favor of Legion. If more of WoD had been like Tanaan, it might have ended a little differently. Luckily, it's not the worst expansion anymore. Shadowlands took the cake and the entire bakery on that front.

If they manage to screw up Pandaemonium (or somehow make the void storyline even more boring with more build-up patches), I think any tiny investment I have left in the story will just shatter.

One can only hope.

The content in 6.x have been VERY underwhelming. If this is the future of what FF14 is going to look like I may as well just play the expansion on release and then come back for the next one.

Also forgot to mention, I know people in my circle that are actually perfectly fine with today's patch, especially relic step. Their mentality "I can take it easy with just dailies" shows the short term view they have. It's very disappointing to see the game go into that direction.
