Yes your anecdote on people leaving materia is definitely evidence, let’s just ignore the lucky surveys done almost every single patch you are totally correct here

It’s not all creativity and calm to make up for the lack of numbers, however. Some members of the community have been incredibly vocal about the lack of local players. Some have decided to go back to their original data shards, and others have refused to move in the first place.

I am on Kujata and I am seeing people coming back from OCE every single day. You may call it anecdotal, I was on Zurvan and Ravana...so yes I do know.

People refused to leave their servers, their houses, their FCs, their statics, their friends. Until such time as SE can get SEA aboard, can arrange regional data centre travel, OCE will remain isolated..with all the problems that come with it.

I can confirm that people are leaving OCE constantly, even on NA servers there are refugee's returning at a steady rate.
On visits to my old FC on Ravana, nearly every single member of the FC is burned out or has taken long breaks from the game.

I still jump on to play my alt now and then, the ping is nice, but the wait times and lack of players actually doing something other than afking in a town hub, is enough to remind me to never transfer my main back to Materia.

For any proof, the Census data was release 3 days ago.


Materia is losing more players than it is gaining. Full stop, there is no argument for it.

The question has to be asked time and time again, At what point will Materia get data center travel. Without it, it is not worth the time investment playing there.

Wow materia lost what 500 people and most of those 500 people went on pause, almost nobody actually left materia in those statistics and even more people moved in,, wanna see how many people mana lost in the same time frame, this is a massive mid patch content drought, if any servers didn’t lose people I’d be absolutely shocked

Stable in a content drought means slight reduction, these stats aren’t saying what you think they are saying
