Criterion didn't really have much to offer, which is why I never bothered running it more than once. I would argue that it still has potential, but SE has a nasty habit of letting random pieces of content die. I can appreciate running something just for fun, but in an MMO, time is money, and money is pizza. If I'm not getting any "pizza", I'm probably not gonna take part in something.

I mean this has nothing to do with OCE being a small server, you always have to expect that a smaller growing data centre is going to have trouble running older content , but it’s not like something like aether struggles with eureka and Bozja in the slightest and materia is growing albeit slowly

I'd be willing to bet if Eureka had options to gain the relic outside of the zone most wouldn't touch that zone today. Bozja had a high uptick because of the easy xp gain from it. Both are designed around burning time so ofc they're gonna survive longer than content that isn't designed around that.

Eureka is helped a bit by rare drops. Think emotes, TT cards, and minions. SE just needs to better itemize/reward some stuff. People run the same trial if unlucky 99 times. If old content got new drops people would do it. Maybe they should hire the cash shop people and add more items to the game.
