In fact, in my friendly circle, only 2 people bother with that (me and my friend), while rest haven't even touched those since they started playing the game. "I know this material will make you strong, bring me X" 1500 tomestones and done. Patch rolls in "I can enhance further with X", another 1500 tomestones and done. And what's that for? There's no incentive to fight for anything to be better. In Bozja, the relic weapon was used as grounds to fight the XIVth legion. The first step was also a tomestone sink, but second step already allowed you to go into the Southern Bozja zone. Our next relic step will (probably) be in 6.45, and that's what, about 5-6 months wait time?

Your argument is very flawed. Telling people to do X because you do it, does not satisfy the people who don't find joy in doing that and want to do Y and Z instead. Deep dungeons is not for everybody either. This is where the issue is happening, there is just no balance between these things.
