Shadowlands being worse than WoD is the worst meme by people who unironically cope about how """""""""""""""good"""""""""""""" WoD was - it wasnt. You had one bonus content patch and basically a gigantic long content drought that was already brought on by raid/pvp or die syndrome combined with a centralized mechanic that made the game a lot less social and ruining gathering professions/market until Legion.

SL is a bottom 3 expansion but definitely not the worst - it will always be WoD.

But back on topic

At this point, I am basically quitting this game - I cant justify sitting on a subscription for 20 minutes of content for a month of money. I was already heavily let down by Endwalker as a whole - the only thing actually interesting is Pandaemonium and anything loppritt but that cannot carry my interest. A lot of friends also do not play this game anymore and I am not heavily into the RP scene at all. While I might not really like Dragonflight and am basically just raidlogging with my friends and guildmates - I feel the game is atleast trying to mix up the content cycle rather than be complacent, which I would rather see in how it comes out. With FF14, this definitely feels like an uneasiness in the game's atmosphere especially with a heavy split focus to FF16 (a game that is solely going to be playable on a $500 system for about 2 years until a PC port comes out). In a genre that is generally stagnating, I wish that FF14 would put more focus on the successful product rather than let it coast on being a life replacement game that has veteran players tied to their sub due to housing.

Either way, the forums going to be interesting nonetheless.
