I think you missed the endgame part...everything minus crafting is filler content and truth be told i dont truly consider crafting to be endgame content.Fifteen minutes? I spent hours last night getting my first Splendourous tool, its beautiful. 620, nice glow with a VERY nice passive, I will be ages getting the rest.l Havent even started on tribes yet, will do the Manderville wep at my own speed, i am running an FC with submarine and airships ( a lot of work in those ). still need to do my B rank hunts, then theres the Saucer as I am working on the dirigible..I got loads to do.
Death Is Only The Beginning....
This this this this this this this this THIS!!!!This right here. And quite frankly the reputational damage the game will suffer from being this dull and casual is that it's an MMO for babies. FFXIV, the MMO for babies and weebs. We are already thought as one of these elements, but the other is about to spread like wildfire from people who have become disillusioned and migrate to other games.
The boat is hitting an iceberg, and people are still thinking the ship can't sink but it can. Honestly right now, as it tries to set itself up for another 10 years, should be a moment of urgency, not of coasting.
Death Is Only The Beginning....
At no point did i ask for "repeat ally 12 times" Eureka and Bozja both had a story attached to it, as well as mixed battles, Bozja offered basically bite sized trial fights. Both Eureka and Bozja used a lost item buff system which had you mix and match possible buffs to optimize your role, or turn your role into an entirely different one.I think it just has to do with them not wanting to give you something like "clear nier 12 times" or something. And they don't have a Bozja to outsource it to now because they dedicated that time to Island Sanctuaries. Whatever your opinion is on that content, it's pretty clear to me (at least) that IS are the Bozja/Eureka stand-in, and I guess they didn't think of a way they could tie the relic activities into that in a way that was actually engaging, lol.
I also never asked for it to be attached to relic whatsoever, i simply said i as a grind player feel kinda shafted the adventure maps got scratched.
If you enjoy the bi-weekly 10min activity on your island, more power to you, you got what you wanted, so why cant the grinding community have something they want?
Maybe you're finally learning the Wisdom behind Yoshi's word? LIke .... this is essentially what a lot of us have been doing the years. I've been playing ton of other games either in parallel or in between of FF14 session, that's why we still love the game instead of feeling burn out on it. The only periods I play FF14 exclusively is the month during launch and the month after a savage tier comes out. But outside of those windows, FF14 is just one out of the many games I play.
The impression I got from most complainers on this forum are they want FF14 to comfort their "exclusive interest" and ... the most polite way I can response to that is: it's neither a reasonable nor logical expectation. Sometime, others fail to meet your expectation because they suck, but the reason can also be you have an expectation that no one could meet.
Shadowlands being worse than WoD is the worst meme by people who unironically cope about how """""""""""""""good"""""""""""""" WoD was - it wasnt. You had one bonus content patch and basically a gigantic long content drought that was already brought on by raid/pvp or die syndrome combined with a centralized mechanic that made the game a lot less social and ruining gathering professions/market until Legion.Tanaan Jungle wasn't awful per say (it actually had a lot to do) but it had the unfortunate timing of coming after 6.1, and horrible content besides outside of raiding, and at the end of WoD itself which had been abandoned in favor of Legion. If more of WoD had been like Tanaan, it might have ended a little differently. Luckily, it's not the worst expansion anymore. Shadowlands took the cake and the entire bakery on that front.
SL is a bottom 3 expansion but definitely not the worst - it will always be WoD.
But back on topic
-------------------------------
At this point, I am basically quitting this game - I cant justify sitting on a subscription for 20 minutes of content for a month of money. I was already heavily let down by Endwalker as a whole - the only thing actually interesting is Pandaemonium and anything loppritt but that cannot carry my interest. A lot of friends also do not play this game anymore and I am not heavily into the RP scene at all. While I might not really like Dragonflight and am basically just raidlogging with my friends and guildmates - I feel the game is atleast trying to mix up the content cycle rather than be complacent, which I would rather see in how it comes out. With FF14, this definitely feels like an uneasiness in the game's atmosphere especially with a heavy split focus to FF16 (a game that is solely going to be playable on a $500 system for about 2 years until a PC port comes out). In a genre that is generally stagnating, I wish that FF14 would put more focus on the successful product rather than let it coast on being a life replacement game that has veteran players tied to their sub due to housing.
Either way, the forums going to be interesting nonetheless.
Very aggro over things I never said. You're free to re-read my comment where I made no objective statement on what form of content or source of relic acquisition was superior or inferior. At no point did i ask for "repeat ally 12 times" Eureka and Bozja both had a story attached to it, as well as mixed battles, Bozja offered basically bite sized trial fights. Both Eureka and Bozja used a lost item buff system which had you mix and match possible buffs to optimize your role, or turn your role into an entirely different one.

It's about a month since you sub last activated. I'm not sure if I would call someone stopping for a month qualifying as "quitting" the game though. After all I do that all the time (that's how I know the 1 month limit thing), but I never claim I quit the game![]()
You cannot log into forums unless the system has identified that you have logged into game 14 days ago.
So you guys hate the game and aren't enjoying anything in it so why are you still playing? Clearly you have been unhappy for quite some time if everything is just recycled content and that you've done before, and if you don't like it now I can only assume you didn't care for it then as well. Really these threads are useless, it's just complaining for the sake of it, no meaningful suggestions or discussion comes out of it. Anyone disagreeing with the sentiment is ridiculed while everyone on the other side says nothing of substance, they just go on about how bored they are. Then for good measure they like to throw in how much more they obviously care about the game because they're complaining "we want to see the game get good and succeed because we are such hardcore fans."
