This is better actually. The last person claimed he quits the game but still engage the forum because it's fun. I can only venture a guess that they have more fun complaining on the forum than playing the game.
Cite me someone who claim the game is perfect and need no improvement, do it, I dare you. This kind of line come "exclusive" from people like you who are trying to twist what others are saying.
There are people who point out issue and ask for improvement, and there are chronic complainers. They are not one of the same. Look through the history of the posts of people here and tell me you don't see the difference. For couple of handful posters here, it reached the point that if FF14 is a person instead of a game, they would mirror a domestic abuse relationship to a tee.

Clearly you have been unhappy for quite some time if everything is just recycled content and that you've done before
-It is
and if you don't like it now I can only assume you didn't care for it then as well
-False, I liked POTD but I don't like it when they copy and paste it over and over.
-I liked some dungeons at first but started hating them when they very obviously are the exact same dungeon for the 200th time if you take the graphics away and just consider the gameplay
no meaningful suggestions or discussion comes out of it
- Suggestions are made, I've sure made plenty.
- You're here complaining without suggesting anything either, so I guess you're lumping yourself in with all of us?
Then for good measure they like to throw in how much more they obviously care about the game because they're complaining "we want to see the game get good and succeed because we are such hardcore fans."
-We do, because its true, and you trying to preemptively disarm us by calling it out won't change that it's a fact.
This is pretty indicative of what future expansions are going to be like. Enjoy your 1 hour of content every 4.5 months! Please understand!

I remember one time while working, I overheard my boss tell this one girl who was a compulsive complainer that he didn't want her in his office unless she had suggestions on how to improve whatever it was she was crying about. He also proceeded to tell her that if she was unhappy, she knows exactly where the door is.
You see, when you come here and mention the new content while simultaneously reaching for any reason you can find to rip on it, you're not making any suggestions. You're also not making yourself sound reasonable and open for conversation. All you are doing it whining. And in this echo chamber, you're doing it to farm likes and gather together a mob with the same mindset as you. In these cases, you can best believe I am going to echo exactly what my boss said to that girl, and tell you to just unsub. You contribute exactly zero of anything of benefit to the forum, and to the game. If you actively choose to not be part of the solution, you are part of the problem.
You bring in an air of negativity that implies it really doesn't matter what the dev team does. You will find something to complain about. If the hairstyle is short, it's another short hairstyle. If it's long, it clips or is another feminine hairdo. If the relic steps are extensive and uses FATEs, "OMG FATES! I don't even do those!" If it just uses tomestones, then it isn't grindy enough. If you are someone who simply cannot be pleased, then unsub. You are actively paying your own money to a game you do not support, and paying a dev team you do not like. You're also wasting your own time.
If you have suggestions on how to improve your experience in FFXIV then make them. However, do it without also adding, "Pfft, like they ever listen anyway." If this is how you feel. Unsub. You lot by the very definition of it, are a mob. Just sad in every way conceivable.
It's almost like different people want different things, and that some people are going to complain if relics are a fate grind while others will if it's a tomestone dump. (this is not to say that both options are equally healthy for the game, just that different people will complain about different things) Personally, I would have liked it if the relic grind was an actual grind, and had it been an enjoyable one, you wouldn't see me here complaining about it.
Also, I hate this idea that people should be compelled to announce when they like things or else they're 'too negative'. I'm not obligated to tell random strangers on a game forum that I love x, y, or z, nor is any of my criticism any less valid if I don't sugarcoat it with a "but I really liked this part". There are parts of the game I like, two examples would be Pandaemonium's story and raiding in general. However, I don't feel like I have an obligation to bring that up when I want to make a criticism on a forum designed for that very purpose. The forums are made for feedback, and I will give the feedback I wish to give. If SE amazes me with something, perhaps I'll make them a thread telling them that they did a good job, but I don't give praise freely in an attempt to seem less negative. I'm not here to be best friends with the developers, or you. I'm here to give honest and potentially negative feedback. If I feel like mentioning something I liked, I will do so when I feel it's the right occasion for doing so. Hopefully that will be 6.4.
It's the same mentality of the "just wait until next patch" defense. They're kicking the can down the road so they can ignore it now. If we ever reach that point where we can start complaining, it'll get just moved further down so they can use the same defense again.
Endwalker not being over does not make assessments on how it's gone so far unfair. If the last few patches cause it to take a 180, then people's opinions may be changed. It is not unfair to have an opinion on Endwalker's patches as of now as you can always change your mind later.
If you're only given a small amount of content, you can spread it as thin as you like, but you still only have been given a small amount of content. 5 hours of gameplay (just a random number, not the actual amount) is still 5 hours of gameplay, even if you take 2 months to complete it. If I take 6 months to complete every Variant dungeon path, it's not suddenly more content than the person who did it in the first week.

Small?? The splendour tools alone will take at least a week..btw Mr I want content and a grind...go get the splendour FSH relic. Ill have it soon. I already have the Ishgard rod..do you? Want a grind? Theres one for you.If you're only given a small amount of content
Oh yeah I see, as to you ( and others ) battle content is all that matters. There is loads to do..you just dont want to do it...or it "isnt worthy of you". This afternoon I actually had a player tell me that crafting was a waste of time and useless., you can spread it as thin as you like, but you still only have been given a small amount of content. 5 hours of gameplay (just a random number, not the actual amount) is still 5 hours of gameplay, even if you take 2 months to complete it. If I take 6 months to complete every Variant dungeon path, it's not suddenly more content than the person who did it in the first week.
Crafting.
Useless.
/facepalm.
So..Ill ask again.
WHAT SPECIFICALLY do you want in addition? Youve stated a problem, now lets hear what YOU want as a solution. Specifics please, if , as you say, this patch is "light on content" ( it isnt), what would YOU want?
What, to you, is "the kind of content that should be in this patch?"

The BTN and MIN ones can be grinded in about 2h. Sure, FSH might take longer... but a week in this would mean 10h of grinding. And sure, with RNG this might very likely be. But 14h of grinding for all tools isnt that much, it can be done in just 2 days if people dont have a job. And if they have a job, it can still be done in 3 days then (4-5h a day is well doable).
And for that grind you need to care about fishing to begin with. I think im not alone on stating that fishing is usualy not worth any effort (ocean fishing for scrips is generaly the only thing i would do - not because fishing is fun, but because i need scrips).
Before anyone quits, be sure to buy my pizza in midgardsormr for 50m.
Best pizza in ff14.
normally i roll my eyes at threads like these but this patch was pretty... devoid of like. everything.
