Compared to how shallow and lacking the previous expansion was with its content patches?

Cant say much about SB patch cycle I started playing the game back in the fall of 2021 when endwalker was being announce to come out in December but from what I seen so far with endwalker patch cycle if they are going to do every 4 months they will drop a patch then these patches need more content to hold players over during this that time till next drop.

Not sure if its you or others who are missing one thing. The patches are farther apart. People claim, oh its a few extra days no big deal. But the closer together patches are the easier it is to hide less content. A player might be like, Patch X was boring but finished up and played something else and bamn new patch. Or maybe the patch cycle was already a little thin to begin with. Then the re-skinning of content on top. Which I am actually fine with. If it fluffs out a patch. Like hey we designed something new "Eureka" and we put in a reskin of PoTD.

This is a good point. Late last year when a lot of people (mainly content creators) were complaining about burnout was around the time we would've had a live letter 2 weeks before the release of the next patch. Instead, we were still multiple weeks out BEFORE the live letter being 2 weeks before the patch. Having similar amounts of content stretched for a longer period of time does have an impact (We went from 3.5 months per patch in ShB to now 4.5 months between 6.2 and 6.3)

Yeah, the delay between...well, anything is really being felt right now, and they are doing very little to actually fill the gaps since a lot of what they release has very little, if any longevity. Content longevity in an MMO is essential, and SE has struggled with this for years in FF XIV. It's sort of coming to a head in EW.

So 6.35 is here and we got:
- A relic 'grind' that is literally identical to the last step.
- Beast tri- I mean tribal qu- I mean daily chores.
- A copy pasted PotD that despite having some new mechanics is the exact same thing we've had for years.

When I said that 6.25 was a bad patch, people told me to wait until 6.3. When 6.3 was a bad patch, people told me to just wait until 6.35. Well, 6.35 is here.

So when is it acceptable to say that we've been getting multiple bad patches in a row?

Never? Well alright then, guess I'll just keep waiting until *insert next patch here* then.

if you ask me all of 6.x so far WAS BAD patch. thing is the fan boys will never accept it. its a great game for new players that want shared world game over an mmo but for thje people that playing for more that one expansion there mostly nothing .

They claim the devs aren't listening yet they still continue to complain despite (according to them) being ignored. This means they are wasting their time per their own admittance. Others step in n try to explain the maybe it's best you leave if you're not getting what you want to send a message. These people are called gatekeepers n white knights (wrongfully mind you). They continue to complain and the cycle continues. They continue to pay to be upset n ignore the fact they are indeed funding what they don't like (which no sane human would do). Even going so far as to a pay for a game they aren't playing just to talk in the forums which as we said earlier amounts to a waste of time. So they're paying to waste their time once again...

Tell me...how tf do yall justify that? Cause that makes no sense to me and is why some people clown on you guys.

So listen, vast amount of types of players complained and complained, just like you are describing and they actually led to some consideration and changes to the game.

So of these complainers got the game to where it is - so we can agree complaining can lead to change in the game, to me a lot of of this was for the worse for the game.

Some of us or rather many are not happy so we are voicing a complaint to get things changed because its actually happened in the past.

If you are new to the game, then you would of entered into the game whilst the changes already happened and not felt them as much as me and a few others have done.

So tell me this, to those that complained years ago and got their wishes implemented in some way, what do you say to that?

What makes you think they don't complain enough to eventually quit? People that are passionate about something they've been a part of for a very long time are likely to be more vocal. Same thing happened with WoW.

I'm not saying they're ALL going to quit obviously. But I'm bored enough to let my other 2 alt accounts lapse. Might even reduce my Retainers and Account Type to just let it sit and hold onto the house. And I know my gf doesn't want to play anymore but we share a house, so her sub is going to lapse too.

Sorry but thats not how that works. I'm not a new player compared to you at all. I was here when tp was still a thing. When stuff like aggro management was still a concern. When healers had more dps options (i miss my Whm Aero III). When not putting up protect at the start of content was a problem lol.

I've been here for these changes n seen the shift personally so that whole point about not feeling it as much is null n void. And if you really payed attention to my post I'm referring to people who claim devs don't listen at all which is the view many folks here who complain take. Either those people are indeed wasting their time per their own statements OR they're lying n they know devs do listen and hope one day they'll be heard. If it's not the former then they outta kill that notion. That's not even taking into account those that complain n go "not my job to make suggestions on how to make things better". None of this actually helps. If you TRUELY feel the devs don't listen at all the rational decision is to leave n stop funding

Feedback provides contextual information in why they've quit. Just quitting provides nothing more than 'This person was generally unhappy'. If they didn't want feedback, then we wouldn't have this forum, and they wouldn't be sending us polls.

If you see a bunch of complaints on twitter and on forums, THEN a large dip in subs - You could probably correlate the 2. So yeah, you'll always see a rise in complaints, especially before unsub.
