I liked the Eureka style a lot. :3Considering how much disappointment there seems to be today, time to bring out your ideas for a relic grind series for the developers to read.
Assume that there can be no new zone created like we had with Eureka and Bozja.
Remember that there are a total of 19 weapons for players to get and that they'll be unhappy if it's not realistic to be able to get them all in one expansion.
Please be specific with how much work must be done in each stage, whether it's an amount of currency or a number of duties to complete.

Relic grinding zones were scrap for Criterion Dungeons (amazing content with HORRIBLE reward structure). Honestly relic could had been tie to Criterion would have been great (lol who am I kidding avg 14 player can't clear it on normal)

I've been giving feedback on the relic quest for 3 expansions and it keeps getting shorter, worse and further away from the ARR model each time so I'm done.
Design weapons for the new expansion jobs released in the past 10 years and let me farm an ARR relic on those jobs. That's all.
Design a relic weapon grind?
Dun have to.
Step 1. Farm zone to get base weapon which has dmg 1 and delay of 999
Step 2. Get 3 material items that are expensive to craft plus 500 token items which drop at a low rate in increments of 1 from normal enemies in said grind zone or very rarely increments of 100 from a specific boss. Wait an entire in game day for upgrade to be done.
Step 3. Get 3 other weapons of the same type as your relic + 1600 of the previous token items. Wait 2 in game days for upgrade to complete.
Step 4. Get weapon specific item drop from a specific named monster in grind zone + 6200 of the previous token items. Wait an in game day for upgrade to complete.
Step 5. Obtain 2 specific untradable items from 2 specific enemy types in grind zone + 10,000 of the previous token items. Find hidden clicky spot and trade stuff + your relic to it and instantly get final upgrade... :P

I'd like to see an FC workshop-type relic, where you submit materials to craft the weapon stage by stage. Crafters/Gatherers could craft the necessary materials as Expert Crafts, PvE players could do PvE content to earn tokens they can trade for materials, and gil whales can outright buy materials with gil from a vendor at an exorbitant cost.
I wouldn't mind a grind for the Relic, but I would very much like for the grind to be a quantifiable one.
If they want us to do FATEs, do it like ShB one where you had to go do a total of 60 FATEs in HW areas, rather than the older Relics where you had to farm Atma's with such a low drop chance that people started having conspiracy theories about how their drop rates worked.
Any items that need to be bought, should be from the slightly more obsolete currencies... GC Seals, Poetics, past expansion's Tribal currencies etc. No need to tie crafters to the Relics as they have their own ones nowadays.
As little content that exists primarily for the relic as possible, as when the next expansion rolls out it very quickly becomes somewhat abandoned by Square and the playerbase. Future-proofing is important.

Literally no one is going to agree on how the relic weapon grind can be set up. Everyone's a bit picky when it comes to it.
We can all agree that the idea of just throwing tomestones at it is wrong, but you're absolutely not going to get people to agree on anything else.

This is best strat. At start of expac chara submit the relic plan on forum. Dev release different relic plan for each chara as the individual posting. We give all the example.
Ex1: I want the grind that taking the time and effort to win the weapon.
Plan: OK. Relic is Ultimate Weapon.
Ex2: I want the grind that taking the time and effort to win the weapon but is the mildcore.
Plan: OK. Relic is Savage Weapon.
Ex3: I want the grind that taking the time to win the weapon but is the mildcore who do not have the friend.
Plan: OK. Relic is Deep Dung Weapon.
Ex4: I want the grind that not taking the time. I have 15 minute to play game on day. Work the twelve job and having the ten family to feed.
Plan: OK. Relic is the Tomb Weapon.
Ex5: I make the new tread for the blog rant. I want the hard grind like the old expac. Back in day famous expac Heavenswart: the Game of the Thrones it having the real dark fantasy masculine relic and all the chara had love the fated light farm and no chara ever complaining. Game it is so easy now and it is go down the hill and Yoshi island is not listen there is no reason to play. They taking away hard skill like the cleric stand and the kaiten and the dot and bring the housing lottery RNG and now job it lose all the brain. Player pop it is gone server is ghost town look at the Dynamis is power by the ghost like in Ultimate Thule. Is no content only dancing loprabbit on the twitter. I want unsubbing but have the house but do not want other player who enjoying game to be having so will keep the sub not play and complain every day all year. Enix Squared is make all the mistake. All resource of the 14 it go into fail game. Did you hearing the NFT lmao? The WoW game it is better to shill Blizzard is pay the big dollar for it.
Plan: OK. Relic is the Forum Weapon. Is new weapon where power it is go up with the post count and the meme. Can not be used in the game but do not play game so is OK.

I think Bozja was the closest to what I wouldve liked for relic.
1) Start off earlier in patch cycle and preferably on mid even patches, think mid odd patches for relic are just too late to be useful as an actual weapon...
2) Not tied to specific content, but rather having several options for each step, like what we got for some Bozja relic
3)Skipping/reducing steps after completing once and using previous relic to skip a step
