You are provocative -> Yes. Purposely. But I wouldn't necessarily say its for provocation sake, but rather leading the conversation in the direction of a final result instead of useless bickering. That people won't take the same energy they have against players making or doing nsfw lalafell content in private to the source of what causes it/justifies it. People want the moral points of saying they don't like it, without doing anything meaningful afterward. The same way they're quiet about nsfw lalafell content in the game and don't want to respond when I bring it up, they could be about players and this thread wouldn't even be made.

You are aggressive -> Yes. I don't consider this a bad thing when dealing with certain groups of people. Most times I'm more inquisitive to figure out the root cause of the issue, but its emotion and people don't want to negotiate/be understanding, yes, I will turn aggressive and match that energy people toss toward me.

You are arrogant -> Yes. Because I know I'm fighting with things that are objective or already solved arguments irl, against people that only have emotion on a video game. They aren't going to win long-term in an argument but have confidence when attacking people so I'm just going through the motion already knowing the end result. I don't consider these "actual debates" but rather "educating people on the reality of the world they forgot".

No, I won't discard your opinion because of that. Hell, I went around 5-6 months without issues when I first joined this game toxicity wise. Even in the venue scene it depends where you are and how many people you know before you end up finding drama for the first time. I know people can have different experiences, especially in different regions which is why I haven't responded to people that said they didn't personally experience harassment as a lalafell and only to people that seem to pretend they have knowledge of how those situations are or saying they don't exist.

I respect the second to last line. I think that's all most people want. Noone wants to shove it down their throat, force them to see it, but just literal basic respect of what people do in private.

I think this thread's purpose is served:

Despite that there are more detractors than proponents of removal, we'll see if SE will change the flavor text of the bar stool or stop from making new items poking fun at fictional humanoids in a video game.

Really seems the problem behind the chair itself is a community of socially inept bullies harassing players playing as Lalafells, rather than a tame joke about the idiosyncrasies and stature of the player and their avatar. The game and developers probably didn't intend to design the chair as a cudgel for these bullies to harass players with.

It's a video game, a MMORPG, and you're supposed to have fun in the game, through socializing, or whatever. Just report people who harass and bully you, blacklist them, and continue on your day.

That said, this thread seems to be an showcase of using one's grievances to self-justifiably counter-harass rhetorical detractors.

You can just go to reddit to get off on debatebro and to sea-lion. All points have been made by this point, there's nothing left to contribute except self-righteous posting (like mine) or to comment "lol 50+ pages and going".

tl'dr: this thread has been awesome and introspective into the true genius of the Warriors of Light.

So after some rudimentary research, it seems like the overwhelming majority of genuine hostility towards Lalafell comes from a tiny minority of obsessively malicious players. One of the more recent efforts to harass Lalafell players is being carried out by, and I'm not joking, a single person with a myriad of alts across the Data Center in question.

Just wanted to update this. Seems my previous response was correct. This might actually escalate into law enforcement, as for various reasons I won't list on the forums, the person doing this can't be stopped directly by GM's. As context, the last time this was done by them was on a smaller scale with a single lalafell venue owner who was publicly defamed/harassed into closure (the person I mentioned in one of my rants), and it upgraded to the venue owners you likely saw, and is now being expanded to connecting an actual community of witchhunters of nsfw lalafell. Lalas on NA might actually have a war on their hands. Passed it to a few of my people in the community but since you were doing research I'm assuming because you either are or know people that could be affected, figured I'd pass it to you. I have my own beefs/wars to deal with this year, so I can't help too much with this one.
