Also speaking bout venues and Lalas in suggestive situations. Not trying to condone or condemn the lala side of it but all Lalas i know are without exceptions actually adults, who want to be treated (mostly lol) as such. On the other hand i know that a lot of underaged players run around Balmung and venues "for talls" who don't give a fork about with whom they do the naughty stuff with. Some venues even bragging with having underaged players working there. And lets not talk about the quicksand where the erp folks just take what they get.

Kinda silly that the ones crying about lalas crying are also the ones who are literally sexting daily in online brothels with minors. Don't think lalas are the problem here when half or more of the erp venue folks out there don't care at all about the age of their guests etc.

I'm baffled how people cannot grasp the difference between "haha Elezen are giraffes", and Lalafell players openly being called "child groomers" "peds", and other abhorrent things, as well as being openly barred from groups because they hold this weird stigma. A single thread asking for Square not to perpetuate people's terminally online stigmas against us has people saying we're acting like children for it. Damned if you do, damned if you dont.

The description of the chair makes no reference to children in the least but somehow people are calling it a high chair. To me, it looked like a bar stool with a back on it. I guess that makes me an alcoholic?

I hate to break it to you, but I could not care less about if an online video game character represents myself as a person. What I do take issue with is being called a "ped" and "child groomer" as well as being actively shunned out of groups for simply choosing to play a gnome in a video game. Square Enix takes a no tolerance stance on this kind of online harassment, and I report it when I can, but this just gives more voice to the terminally online crowd, and that is what I take issue with.

1: Baby character looks like baby, player acts like baby, player and character treated like baby.
2: Putting anything that looks like a toddler in adult situations is sus. Do not defend this.

These two issues are separate. This thread is about the former, but the persecution complex just keeps going back to the latter.

Maybe just take the joke item as a joke.

The fact you cannot make the mental connection that a race shaped like a triangle looks nothing like children speaks more to you as a person, to be frank. The "joke" that you would prefer I take simply perpetuates the stereotype of the playerbase that you are wanting to push in your two points. I would love to hear how we are supposed to hold a discussion over something like this that you wouldn't label as childish, considering the thread has been quite civil. Or is this a "You are acting childish because you choose to speak at all." sort of thing?
