Then just change the chair name to High Chair and let the community decide if they want to use it for lalas or not, then it'll be the same thing as the Tree Slice Tower.
"Maybe people just like being humans"
- Lappland, 2021

Then what difference does it really make if the joke will still remain? This is seriously whining over spilled milk. . .

I think most of the community is fine with the chair like that, it's just the lalafell players being angry for no reason, sheesh

Looks like I found all the other Lalafell players, hi folks...
I feel a little mixed about this one. I think there's real value in wanting to make furniture to integrate smaller races in with the existing large/standard furniture items (for example, being able to sit at a table with friends of different sizes as opposed to having to sit separately with dwarven sized furniture - though I think the dwarven furniture would be an awesome addition too).
But it does look quite...baby-ish, which comes off as strange to me. Maybe if the default colors were different, it wouldn't come off so strangely? I think maybe it should be designated for Lalafell, or designated for babies, and not live in the weird in-between zone. I get that on some level it's just like "haha, jokes!" but I feel like this touches on that specific Lalafell can of worms that causes players to fight with each other and/or take jokes too far....maybe better avoided.
So in conclusion...do I want furniture to accommodate for Lalafell's lack of height? Yeah totally, I love to be included. Do I want it to be this vibe? Uhhh, not really.

man you lalafell players need to get a better sense of humor
The only people having a problem with this seem to be RPers, seems par for the course
The community would appreciate it if the design could be reconsidered, with a more neutral and mature look, to avoid the perception of being relegated to a "child's corner.
Some have even gone so far as to describe it as insulting, resembling a toddler's high chair rather than a proper piece of furniture.
While lalafels are indeed meant to have a child-like appearance, it is important to recognize the potential harm this can cause. Such behavior can be deeply demeaning to players and may even contribute to bullying or harassment. I strongly recommended that the development team consider updating the tooltip to remove any references to Lalafels or similar language. By taking steps to ensure that all players feel valued and respected, the Final Fantasy XIV community can foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. No one likes to have their favorite race for a video game to be devalued or made fun of in such a manner. There are better ways to do this which can be both funny and entertaining.

Lalafells will always be looked as and treated as children. Removing this name isn't going to prevent anything. Even if SE did remove the name. . . people would do the same thing by using them as a 'lalafell sitting corner' and put lalafells in timeout. I mean people make a prison for lalafells and what not as it is. You think a name change of an item is going to prevent a what's already a meme? The community would appreciate it if the design could be reconsidered, with a more neutral and mature look, to avoid the perception of being relegated to a "child's corner.

Ex-lala here.
Thanks SE... As if lalafells didnt suffer enough bullying, low-key racism, and other crap in game, right?
And for those saying that only lalafells are upset about this, thats exactly the point - I dont see other races being picked on as often as Lalafells - and most of the times its just because they are lalafells, no other reason. Its demeaning.
Lalafell players seriously out here acting like it isn't an open secret that half the major figures in the Lala community are also connected to loli/shota garbage.
