Yeh I agree there's too much forehead, more so than normal, at least. Kinda reminds me of that meme of shonen protags getting bad haircuts as adults lol




But a lot of people hate on it because it's short and/or not cute, the big forehead is just the cherry on top. I'm just happy we got a short hairstyle at all, instead of the 6th ponytail in a row.

We only have medium/ short length hairs- all are just flat hairstyles.

NPCs though get long wavy hair so it's def a middle finger to people who want long hair

I'd say there's actually as many 'actually long' hairstyles as there are 'actually short' ones, which is to say.... about 5 or so, with the overwhelmingly majority being between ear and shoulder length (not counting racial ones)

there are plenty of long hairstyles in the game, its not the games fault if you wanna look for reasons to nitpick and complain, hair doesnt have to go past your ass for it to be long

also gaiai and venats hair are around the same lenght as the great lenghts hair

Right? I'm wondering if we're even playing the same game as some of the commenters in this thread.
We haven't had a new long hairstyle in ages. Lately, at best it'll be shoulder length and even then it'll have some nasty caveat like a fivehead or awful bangs or a gross overall shape or a paywall. I'm not trying to treat this like an either/or thing, though. For a game that rakes in money like XIV, it should be possible to just... have hairstyles coming in that appease more than 1 demographic at a time. Instead the people who want waist-length hair have been sad for years. The people who want really short styles have also been disappointed. And the only ones happy have been whoever's into these half assed ponytails and shoulder length haircuts.

This one we just got looks like a barber had a bad day. I'm surprised people are happy with it, but it really shows how subjectivity in art works.
