Tomestones.. Again.. for a relic..

as if farming 1.5k tomes is a very hard thing to do, it can be done in a few hunt trains, dont act like this is any difficult, it might takes 2 hours, oh no woop dee doo, has to be great content then right ?

Still a relevant question to answer for new players, since not all of the player base subscribes, or has done a single train..,

Likely the best path forward us Eureka Orthos..,

Seems like a step meant to Feed parallels with other content.., but it's not like players can Work on much in unison.

I'll also Remind, that so much is unknown in their Resources split/workloads..,

If we find out after all this, when 7.0 hits and nothing massive changed.., Graphics wise/tech/content wise..,

Since not all the resources could of been eaten by XVI..,

We knew we weren't going to get an ExpZone..,

But no Variation of grinds is abit much.
specially with the most common threads being about content, unlocks, and or gear.

Astro tome mats aren't worth that much anymore imo. You can make more just buying it off the MB and turning it into mats for current gear compared to selling your capped tomes to someone who's giving you a bad deal to begin with. Even still, there are better ways to make money that take an hour or less of effort a day. I gave up trying to sell tomes when I realized I can make 50-100m a week or so through the MB.

Personally, I hardly care, I am very objective and result driven when it comes to relics, it doesn't matter what I have to do for the shiny, I just want it to be shiny.

I am sure that regardless what the step was, people would complain, different people to be sure, but they would, so it is a lose-lose situation no matter how you look at it.

first they complained they had to do content (eureka), then they complained again that they had to do the significantly easier and faster content (bozja) and now they complain that there is no "content" (farming fates forever or running xyz raid/dungeon ad nauseum)

it is a loose loose situation anyway, like I said above I would of liked something more unique but then in eureka and bozja it was just FATE farming in a different location. Now I can just partake with what I want and get my tomes and hand in. I can do dungeons, raids in any capacity or hunt trains I'm rewarded with the currency to advance my relic.

So, in your opinion, handing in 1500 tomestones and calling it a day is content to you?

I mean it is and isn't like a dungeon gives 50 without additional to when you're in there. Same with like raids and hunts..if you've saved up for one off the bat you still need to grind in some capacity to get others let alone get them all and that's for BOTH stages now...its a timesink in some capacity. It just not a grind X Fate 30 times cause the drop rate is not in your favour or go in this new zone and grind FATES or run these dungeons to get a book. You're running dungeons just not for a book but for a currency we already have. ARR and HW disguised the step we are doing now under a different system but its borderline the same. Not defending it just an observation is all.

And that's fair for people who are new/slower but it also just adds to the argument that they're catering to only one crowd.
I'm only doing two relics, SCH and SMN, and have 1500 tomes ready to go for the first. The second will only take me an hour or two with hunts. That's not content in my opinion, at all. It's as you said, a time sink.

It just feels really shallow and I was hoping for some sort of a deeper experience that would make it feel like what I'm doing has a purpose. Doing hunts for tomestones is literally something I do already several times a week. It's nothing new.

Even if we weren't getting a new zone, they should have tied it into Criterion Normal somehow. It would have been an amazing excuse to revitalize that content and add more rewards to it considering once you have the mount, title and outfit pieces there's no real reason to go back.

sure, since i can do a larger number of things to get those tomestones than i can compared to the sb or shb relic. also keep in mind that we have not gotten any non-repeatable relic steps yet (remember the sb fate farming? or the 120 shb raids you had to do if you absolutely did not want to run bsf?)
