I actually gave them a let me google that for you link which is a direct answer to their question and sends them to a google page with everything pre-entered, all they have to do is click it, but still told them they should have used google.

You're not a shill seeking "validation and headpats from SE" for saying that there are a variety of different grinds in this game. It's also not being a shill to say that this relic step can be as grindy as you make it and if you want it to last longer, you have the capability to get more relics. It's not defending the company to say that not every has an over-abundance of free time to farm tomes. You're also not a shill for calling out hyperbolic arguments.

Stating facts is not defending the company. It's not doing anything other than stating a fact. Saying that it's just a sad attempt at receiving a "headpat from SE" is a way to condescendingly dismiss information you have no real rebuttal for.

It's fine to not like all that the game has to offer. It's okay to dislike how things are handled. But saying "I don't hate this relic step" is not a defense of anyone or anything other than your own personal interests.

The fact that has to be said is just... really sad. Just because someone doesn't like something doesn't mean no one else is allowed to like that thing. I thought that was common sense.

The thing is I can see Stormpeaks is passionate about the game and how they view aspects on it. However it’s masked behind a clear disdain of differing opinion. People can give the perfect answer and they will logic leap round it, once again not everything they’ve said is wrong and some parts I agree with but a lot of it gets watered down and meaningless with their approach to debate.

if you do it in one sitting maybe but most people have done Hildibrand when it was current or when it went on hiatus.
we got multiple warnings that it would be required over the course of EW before the relic so was plenty of time to just do it in small doses

I suppose thats fair and its not as if Im some kind of hard ass that wont consider the other sides point where it changes my mind. The whole healer debate is how I actually changed my stance about current healing sucks when originally I wasnt in agreement with it.

But a lot of Stormpeaks takes and statements just like aveyond and awesomejr (the unholy trinity as I dub them) just tend to be disingenous imo.
