    Just because you or certain other people decide to brute force the content in a day doesn't mean that it's short. It means you decided it was.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

    umm how long do you think it should take for an ex trial? They aren't savage fights.

    How lucky do you think you are with RNG? If there's 1 totem per run, worst case you're looking at 99 runs and then waiting for the patch allowing you to buy the mount. If there's 2, worst case is 50. Not everybody is lucky enough to get a mount on the first few clears, leading to the grind itself for that mount.
