This actually makes me a little irritated and I question what the devs have been doing. It's fair to blame it on 16 taking up dev time but then personally they should be trying to hire more people to pick up the slack because it's not really fair to those of us who want a deeper experience with the game. Endwalker so far has been a disappointment and it upsets me to say that because I genuinely love this game. Lately though, it just feels like nothing really has much purpose to it and I don't get that same sense of achievement that I used to when completing content. It all just feels very surface and barebones and sad compared to previous expansions.

I was honestly excited to log in early and start doing the new content but now that it can be completed in literally 30m-1h (doing the deep dungeon in the afternoon with my quartet), I don't see a point.
This is precisely how I feel. While I had low expectations for this patch considering the shallow state of Endwalker, I'm still surprised just how... listless and uninspired the relic is. Ironically, they have really hammered in how utterly pointless it is to delay the relic step this long. Anyone who once tried to argue they needed time to develop new content... well, have yourself a good laugh. Our "new content" is farming the same hunt trains and dungeons that have existed for months.

The only thing they're ahead on is putting hats on races that can't wear them.
While Stormpeaks is being too aggressive on the opposite side, you're severely underestimating what modders have accomplished. The two most popular body mods literally remake your entire character. They aren't simply a texture update but a whole new body built off the base one. For specifics, just look up feet. Our default character doesn't have actual toes but drawn on black lines on stubs. Both body mods constructed a brand new foot that seamlessly meshes into the game. Clothing mods are on a whole different scale too. Of course, it should be noted it's far easier for modders to make improvements like this than the developers themselves as they don't have to factor in coding and making it all function server side. At the same time, it isn't a good look when they're still releasing hats Viera and Hrothgar can't wear but modders figured it out years ago.
