The issue is that Yoshi said that this relic would be comparable to the ARR/Heavensward relics. We haven't seen any of that yet so people have a right to be upset and ask for clarification and voice concerns. I'm glad it works for you but people were being led to believe it would be different.

The difference between this and Anima is that there were other options to get drops. Some steps did strictly require poetics but you weren't forced into that if you enjoyed grinding them other ways for most of them. They offered dungeon running options, crafting options, doing weeklies, etc. Those required tomestone steps also weren't back to back like they are with the Manderville relics.

This step could have felt similar to Anima if they provided an alternative method to get the materials required. For example, running Expert roulette gets you one daily...or a weekly quest where you can complete it and get all 3.

HW relic had 5 stages by this point in the patch cycle, and none were an exact copy of the previous stage. So no, they are not comparable.

DR was actual content added to the game, so if we could have gotten something like that, I'd rather risk it being unfun than just a basic tome grind. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I'd rather have something new than just more roulette spam.

Actual content? I don't even see anyone love it, instead they despite this content because DR is just a waste of lost essence, and you had to spam every 30 mins only for 1 relic? A waste of content indeed (Same with DRS).

To be fair at my post I don't count trading zodiac weapon and do dungeon because my point mostly about how the poetics spent, but sure I'm wrong at that one point.

Look back at the first 2 steps of any relic, they were also that easy.
Especially for HW if you completed ARR relic before that since it gave you the "skip fate farm for free" card.
Relics are catch up content just like Alliance raid, there's nothing hardcore about relics.
They are literally a time sink for glamour lol

you earned that skip doing Zeta back then they were not as easy
I think most would just rather farm the fates

Well yes but the previous relic which had nothing to do with the current expansion at the time which was HW could be used to progress on the relic of the current expansion, a feature we do not have anymore for any expansions afterwards.
So if you have grinded your ARR relic prior to it you will have basically skipped a whole step.
One could say "but the stats of my old relic" let's be frank everyone wasn't even using it for their BIS at that time and trading it in to skip a step is a no-brainer since you can just get a replica if you wanted to glam it.

As a casual player Relics were always my main content. HW had the best method where there were multiple ways to complete most steps. It's been getting worse since then. This time is it extremely lazy and kills off a good section of content that kept a lot of us busy. It seems like each expansion the patches get more bare in general. We've gotten to the point where things are now "give us tomes" and done.
