From PC to PS3

quick question.
I am playing FFXIV on my laptop at the moment and, seeing how hot it can become at time, I believe it might die at some point playing this game...
Question, has SE said anything on possibilities to switch between platforms?

I mean with the character linked to the account and not the computer itself, I should be able to play on PS3 once released correct?

If you have an account on PC you will be able to play it on PS3 and vice versa. Square just requires that the account is registered basically and you can hop between the two all you want.

I think the only way that would work now is to offer it as a download through the PS store. It would cost them money to make free bluray discs and ship them to players. Ideally, though, you would want it installed on a HDD so its faster, and no doubt SE will require it.

Buy your ps3 version and be happy that your supporting an awesome game. I'm assuming You could also give the account+30 days of free time that comes with the game to someone else.

A link type system actually make sense... But I would like to see some incentives for current players who purchase on the PS3. It would be interesting to see how SE approaches this.

I don't think SE will do that. Isn't valve the same company that owns steam?

They have billions, unlike SE.
