RPGSite: Now with the graphics engine is it completely all new or is it still based on Crystal Tools?

Yoshida: It’s completely new. It’s made especially for XIV.

RPGSite: Does it have a name?

Yoshida: We haven’t even had time to think of one, so we just call it “the engine.”

So the devs dont have the time to come up with a name for their snazzy new engine.

I propose we come up with one on our own!

That was pretty much my idea with lifestream, although more subtle. After all, when the FFVII world was on the brink of destruction, what was the saviour?

My vote:

Lifestream Engine

For those not familiar, this is a FFVII reference; The planet is essentially alive, and its lifeblood is called the lifestream. it flows from the death of one living thing to the birth of another, and when a great danger is on the horizon, it can heal the wounds the planet inflicts.
