
I agree with all of this.We're not intended to collect everything and keep it all. Make better choices about what you should keep and what you don't.
If the items can be purchased from a vendor, there's no use storing them in your inventory or on a retainer unless you are using them multiple times a day.
If something is gathered from a non-timed gathering node, gather when needed instead of storing "just in case".
Most materia isn't worth storing because it sells on the MB for little more than sell to vendor value. What materia is worth storing doesn't take up that much space.
As for your Sandals and Pareos, there's a very simple solution. Stop desynthesizing the fish immediately. Store them and desynth a few when you are ready to sell more Sandals and Pareos. The fish will stack to 999 (which would take a stupidly long amount of time to collect unless you're operating a large fishing bot army) where the attire doesn't. That's 4 inventory spaces taken instead of 60.
