It doesn't look like they do, but them complaining that the Japanese developers don't speak English in LLs and such in broken English is irony...

Personally, i'm in the camp of "let them do what they do." I would rather the devs have a clear direction and just keep the course over making every side trip along the course trying to appease everyone. That's how WoW fell and I really hope Yoshida doesn't want to copy WoW, right down to it's faults.

More like absolute garbo. What do you even mean Japanese handling this game? What, did you somehow forget the dev team is based in Japan? Also its pretty stupid to think they only listen to the Japanese forums when a lot of the things given to us in this game is based on our feedback.

I'm just happy the guy's stepping down. Will it make a difference? Probably not, but man does it make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Same goes for the absorption of Luminous Productions after Forspoken was DOA. Again, it probably won't make a difference, but I love to see it regardless. It's an admission of failure, even if they are trying to spin it another way. The shareholders clearly aren't happy, and they have every right to be upset. The list of blunders is a mile long at this point, and that started well before Forspoken launched. If FF 16 fails, SE could be in some serious trouble.

A lot of their new games are flopping hard, mostly the somewhat smaller ones, remasters and remakes that are getting a positive reception, but those don't tend to really stay in the spotlight as long as a good AAA title would.

Unironically Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default 2 were probably the biggest recent hits from Square, and they started off as Nintendo Switch exclusives which likely didn't help them.

Murica. I'm from Europe, so no. So what you're saying is we're a very very very small percentage of the player base and should stop posting anything as it won't make a change. Basically what I said if anything needs a change to go persuade the Japanese forums instead.

I cant say you are wrong. some things from here may percolate over, but I wouldnt hold your breath.

like I said, I dont know Japanese so wouldnt visit their forums, maybe they are more constructive, who knows. reality is.. its a Japanese game, thats where they are going to go for a majority of their direction. that is just a fact of life.

Time will tell. I hope it does succeed. Unfortunately, just because Yoshi P has been working on it himself, that doesn't guarantee success.

I actually hope 16 does fail then they can finally open their eyes and realize that all the games they have been making are subpar.
