Flower Crowns

So, you get to talk to Aldiytha to get little blurb reminders on stuff after the event quest. When you ask her about flower crowns, the WoL apparently has a reaction which causes her to speak the following:

Aldiytha: ...You look as though you have something on your mind. Do you perchance know something I do not concerning the flower crowns?
Aldiytha: I see, you are not at liberty to say... I understand. Not every adventure is a tale that can be shared.
Aldiytha: But if I am honest with you, that only makes me more curious to know. I hope you can one day tell me of this secret adventure.

I assume this has to be like, ShB or EW MSQ relevant if they're being oblique about it, but I don't really recall anything about flower crowns in either. Anyone know what it is referring to?

I think you're misunderstanding the OP's confusion. As the player before the quoted lines does a /think or /consider motion just without the visible ? above their head. The reaction to the gesture makes it seem as though the WoL knows more about flowers if not flower crowns than Aldiytha does who is part of that year's little ladies day event you linked to. I also am stumped by this as I can't think of what the WoL has done that gave them insight on the meanings of flowers let alone flower crowns that we couldn't tell someone how we stumbled across said information.

...Yes, as I said, you get little reminders of stuff. I was aware of the fact that the flower crowns were used in previous iterations of the event, and the NPC gives you the same story she gave you back then on its history. I am questioning the reaction afterwards.

Ok so the emotes and her response seems to have a trigger of some kind. As a friend did the event and didn't get the emote or her response. My guess is having gotten every variant dungeon story. Or at least saw Nanamo's parents secret garden. I think flowers are mentioned there? Which would make us not able to tell others about it as we're asked by Nanamo to not tell anyone about their secret place. My friend hadn't completed all the stories

I asked the same question on reddit as OP and I think this might be the answer since I had done the variant dungeons. Thank you ^^

This is definitely based on whether or not you have completed the final wrap-up quest for the Sil'dihn Subterrane, "For Coin, Country and Comrades".

It still seems too cryptic for what it is referencing, and I can't see any direct connection to the flower crowns.

Yeah, that's why I was so confused by it when I got the response. As I went wait what secret about flowers did we learn about or learn something from a person or a thing about flowers that the average person would look at us weirdly in how we obtained said knowledge. That I felt as though I had forgotten something that was barely hinted at.
