If we wanted instanced housing, we would be playing other games. We play FFXIV because it has neighborhoods. No one cares about instanced housing in FFXIV.

If that were true, we wouldn’t be seeing so many topics devoted to it. We can keep wards and have instanced. Why not pursue an option that would allow everyone to enjoy housing?
And honestly the most active neighborhoods I see are where an FC has a house, and its members are clustered in the houses around it, which is rare these days and difficult to achieve with both the lotto and ward restrictions. In my neighborhood, I see next to no one on a regular basis.
This is another type of "You think you do, but you dont", people want instanced housing, but for them to enjoy it, ward housing would have to be removed too, so it's useless on its own, and they sure as hell arent going to remove everyone's house because people are too stubborn and refuse to move to Dynamis.
So people will keep trying to make it harder and harder for people to keep up and maintain a house, find excuses for houses to be demo'd, find excuses for people to be banned so their house demo's, instead of simply moving to Dynamis.
Jesus, did you see how he was able to rotate that piece of furniture and shrink it like it was nothing?
Meanwhile in XIV we're smashing atoms together to build a damn refrigerator, i can't

Why does everyone assume it has to be either/or? I just want the option added, I don’t want anything taken away from anyone, nor am I advocating for any “rent” type schemes. Neither do most of the posters I’ve seen supporting an instanced option. Some people just want a house to decorate, they don’t care about the “prestige” of lucking into a ward house, or they’re weary of losing lotto after lotto. And for those that want upgrades, there are never going to be enough mediums and larges in the wards. At least not without a massive redesign. This is another type of "You think you do, but you dont", people want instanced housing, but for them to enjoy it, ward housing would have to be removed too, so it's useless on its own, and they sure as hell arent going to remove everyone's house because people are too stubborn and refuse to move to Dynamis.

If everyone is able to have an instanced house of their choosing, so many of these arguments (and the animosity) go away. Someone having a whole ward to themselves won’t matter when it isn’t preventing others from participating in the system. And everyone could have their dream plot without having to hope someone else gets demoed.
And again, the devs can’t say that housing is supposed to be about community and offer leaving one’s community as the only solution to lack of supply. Well they can, but it’s hypocritical. Even so, for someone who’s been in their community for years, going to Dynamis doesn’t guarantee anyone housing. Dynamis has the same lotto as everywhere else. It’s just less competition, not no competition. And for those that have spectacularly low luck on RNG, asking someone to go through all the hassle to move (and it is a hassle, read through the page that goes over all the details sometime) for a chance at a house that they may well lose yet another lotto on is callous. They really want to send people to Dynamis in droves? Make the wards they’re holding back on (25-30) first come, first serve, no timer or placard spamming, you want it, you get there first. That’ll get people moving! lol

I played PSO2 NGS for 5 months lv70 Braver, spent a couple of money on that game, instant regret. Game is garbage. Story sucks. Copy and paste combat sector zones LMFAO, theres more numbers of outfits for T2 than T1’s, RNG is garbage in that game. Free weapons get handed out to you like candy every “seasonal” event which i dont like about it, once you finish everything theres nothing to do but the same fken pse bursts over and over no contents LOL , i quit and deleted my character after. Thats just me xD NGS SUCKSYeah I'm hyped for Creative Space. Gonna spend a lot of time building stuff when that drops.
More people should give PSO2 some attention. It doesn't have a huge amount of content but could get a bigger budget if it gained more users. It's free to download and play.
Sonic Frontiers (also by Sega) sold unexpectedly high numbers, caused them to recruit a bigger team for the next Sonic and increase pay by 30% to be more competitive.
Just know that PSO2 NGS story is very shallow and pointless so it's a deal-breaker if story is important to you. But the combat feels good, the create a character is very customisable, and the housing will be too.
Honestly, I felt like PSO2 was finally finding its wings in earnest with Ep5 and Ep6, and then NGS just kinda.. train crashed on through and killed all that momentum to replace it with a far less satisfying game. Haven't gone back since.
If they'd chosen instead to iterate on what was working, I can only wonder what might have been.
