FFXVI only PS5?

On no, PC master race doesn't get 1% of the games out there and throws a fit, while Console gamers are denied hundreds of thousands of PC exclusive games.

"Oh no, bad evil PC gamers are taking small indie games for themselves!"
Most of these "Hundreds of thousands" PC 'exclusive' games are small indie games developed by one person up to a very small team. Games that get to be very successful end up on the Consoles most of the time.
There's a difference between devs not releasing a game on consoles, and consoles taking games for themselves based on an "Exclusivity contract".

Thankfully with Microsoft Xbox going headstrong recently, PlayStation has been releasing its own IPs on PC to boost sales, and it's only a matter of a couple of years before Day 1 console exclusives find their way to the PC.
Hopefully, they acquire SE next after Activision so "Everyone" can enjoy playing the next FF games instead of just PlayStation players.

I think that has to change with Microsoft rolling in and saving FF franchise from being PS exclusives. PC players matter, you know. The idea of "Exclusives" alone is disgusting, and what's more disgusting is a company trying to take third-party games as exclusives. Third-party games should be neutral or else it's plain monopoly.

I had to think for a moment what JRPG was an exclusive for the Xbox series (and no PC version) and it made me realize that Xbox isn't very JRPG friendly outside of what other platforms have so... I don't think SE will ever sell, if anything, to Microsoft.

The XBox brand in general is all but dead in Japan, so they don't really feel much need to cater to it over there.

I dont understand how people dont realize that initial game releases for consoles eventually wind up getting PC ports. We are going to get a PC release, this is objective fact, just like how we wound up having Steam releases for FFXIII and FFXV. Its just not happening atm.

So people who reeeeeally want to play FFXVI on release will have to do how we've had this standard within gaming where you buy a console for the games being released in it.

I bought my XBox360 just for Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts. Because I already had the console, I ended up expanding into other games eventually like the Call of Duty series, Halo, Left 4 Dead and eventually got my money's worth out of it. The single platform game is likely a marketing strategy towards people like me.

You must not know that FF mainline games have always been exclusive to ps. Just like ff7 remake was only on ps now PC.

Pretty sure its to ensure the game has a good launch without the modding community causing any negative feedback. The game will come to PC eventually, just will probably be a year until it does.

honestly these exclusive ideas limit it's potential. The more the game is covered on different platforms ensures better profits
