A Question-Grand Company Quests

Can you not take a Company Quest and still have the option to take others that you will need later?

There is a quest called "Pup No Longer," which is pvp, and I have no desire for pvp, so I was hoping to skip this quest but still be able to take the other quests that will be required later to advance.

This GC quest does not require you to participate in PvP, it simply unlocks access to it and the Wolf's Den instance.
You can complete the quest and then choose to never step foot in the Wolf's Den or in any PvP match/instance ever, all the while in never having to fight another player.
