Not because ppl do (only), but because some lines are easily crossed and ppl can be hurt and dramas started. This is not for everyone and some ppl learn that only too late, imo.

People still have their alts or visit Balmung just for RP activity. If it's a big issue, they would not do it, see? And RP is fun! You act like a real person inside the world like a part of eorzea community and a true adventurer while having your own personality, dreams, fears, etc, etc... it's really fun! You should try it.

Role-players truly are an infestation. It's fine if they keep to themselves, but they seem to like going out of their way to make it other people's problem.

Comes to a thread where the TC openly states he invaded other people's RP session, somehow concludes that the RPer were the troublemakers.

I was in central thanalan & I seen this viera guy & viera girl in the back of that tavern near the Aetheryte, so I interjected myself into their group so we look like a father,mother & child and said whatever is going on here I want in cause I'm bored.

They said there RP'n as conscripts planning to attack Garlean soldiers in Thanalan, I said ok I'm a Gangsta Lalafell from the future who traveled back to let the people hear my sick beats & maybe do a duet record with the Songbirds.

The guy got up & teleported away but the girl stayed & said you have to be my new husband are u strong enough, I said well I work out in the hot Thanalan sun wearing only a subligar & a smile on my face while bench pressing 2 big boulders with a DRG spear connecting them ,I'd like to see a roe or that bunny boy you had do that, I'm the real deal Jill only I can give u the feels that put you in the movie reels.

She then said I gotta go, ty for this RP session. I thought I did a fantastic job, the best job any new RP'r has ever done, should I wait 2 days before I ask her to continue our current RP story, I wanna make sure my character doesn't look desperate.

x10000 better than your average ERP disgusting session between 2 "female" characters.
