I'm wondering, how many points is the Top Provisioner on team worth again? Wasn't it like 2k points base, amking it 4k on Level 2?

Its 3k base. and so i think the multiplier depends on the level of the hamlet so a lvl1 hamlet it would be 3k points, on level 2 its worth 6k. that being said its more than possible to get 60k without a provisioner. We kinda see having a provisioner as a "safety net" so to speak so if a random archer died or a random cart gets destroyed we still can get 60k

Ya, ya. Just trying to measure how much of a huge impact having a Top Provisioner is even on your final score. I haven't attempted Hamlet yet (because gods forbid me actually being able to be home on a weekend) so I can't say about how easy/hard it is to acquire points but it does seem like a thing that can be supplanted with a superior level of execution. Its 3k base. and so i think the multiplier depends on the level of the hamlet so a lvl1 hamlet it would be 3k points, on level 2 its worth 6k. that being said its more than possible to get 60k without a provisioner. Ranking systems are not. People came up with the idea of collecting resources and dumping them on someone, but that doesn't mean it was designed with that in mind (Since one person gets all the credit for it, I'd say clearly it wasn't). The ranking system just isn't needed to drive participation. Aren't the relic weapons enough by themselves? The Hamlet Defence is clearly built towards teamwork
I realize that the advantage afforded to bringing a top 20 contributor is not drastic. It's still an unnecessary e-peen feature, however.

I guess it depends on what you mean by credit. The fact that the top 20 bonus applies to the whole groups score I'd say your conclusion is wrong. Also none of the top20 drops are U/U so it's a safe bet that LSs are sharing the drops as well.
I also have to /laugh at the OPs original idea of making the turn in items U/U. 28% of players have a DoL over 40 and only 20% have a DoH. Making the items U/U means you just made it so that at best 30% of the playerbase can participate.

It's designed to stimulate economy, which worked terrific. There are crazy demands on hamlet supplies items, it also worked as anima replenisher for people without gather/crafting class.
The crafting is what stimulates the economy. A ranking system isn't necessary to drive the crafting. People will do it anyway with the promise of better drop rates / rewards in the battle.
