remove TOP20

I think it's designed for friends/ls's to help each other out. Otherwise, they wouldn't bother to display your ls crest as part of the top 20 list. Also, the group DOES benefit from having a top 20 provisioner in the party...so it makes sense to pull your resources and work together to get on the list.

What have this to do with casual? A casual can do it, too. When all LS members give him the items. It only cost some minutes to deliver it to the hamlet.

The group also benefits from having a KK in the party. /thumbsup
The turn in level really depends on your server though. I have seen weekends where you needed 235k to break top 20, but if I recall correctly that was before the extra rewards for top 3. I think top 3 rewards have worked out perfectly. Before level 2s only hit on weekends, but now people are spreading out their turn in throughout the week which means hitting top 20 now takes about 100-150k and level 2s hit almost every day.

It's not an exploit. It's competition and the competitors are playing the smart way.

I think it'd be more fair to make kidney ores and such untradeable. But I doubt you'll find people in these forums who will agree seeing as they are probably the only ones with the means to get an entire LS to fund them.I debate whether or not it is an exploit but it may be worth some value to switch the Hamlet items to R/Ex (U/U). This is primarily because, as the system stands right now, ranking in the top 10 is a function of time multiplied by the number of players with free time. The current method almost seems cheap when entire linkshells can dump all their items to one player and then rack up 2mil.
Now, I'm in a shell that does that and we reap the rewards. But that doesn't mean it isn't cheap feeling. At the very least it seems unfair to casuals. And, while I prefer harder content, this game is comprised of (and will become more so) casuals.
Just a thought.
making kidney ore and such untradable doesnt solve the problem
and some people seeing this makes me really think, you guys do realize crafters can make items too right?
so are you saying every item used to make those crafted items, as well as the crafted item itself should also be untradable, cuz thatl be the only fair way to do it if you screw over the gatherers end of this by making them untradable
and i know for a fact people dont know about the crafter end of it, otherwise theyd be buying up those items instead of the gathered items when they are SO MUCH CHEAPER per turn in most of the time...but they dont, cuz they dont know crafters make the items too

I think there are many other ways around this that doesn't affect the system so greatly.making kidney ore and such untradable doesnt solve the problem

Like put a $crafted_by string on equipment. If $crafted_by doesn't match the player making the donation, don't give provider points. Just anima.
again, cant agree with that, nothing stops people from loading 1 person up with all the mats needed to craft the item and basicaly getting the same results as just giving them the finished product
the system promotes teamwork as is, im sorry if you dont have a team to work with, but thats just how it works
and nothing forces you to have to work on this now when everyone is competing for it(speaking of competting, werent people BEGGING for a way to compete with others in game, and now we have it hint hint)
give it a few more weeks and the overly serious people wont be overly donating anymore and those who dont want to spend 20mil gil in drops every run will get their chance to get top 3, and so on
