The way CC is designed increases player toxicity for the following reason IMO.

1. PVP cosmetic rewards require >10x grind to get. I believe this is because they made the cosmetic uniform for all classes were as before it would take you about 4 hours of pvp to get your full non ranked set per class. The idea was interesting however you're exploiting fomo of players to force the grind.

2. Players cannot queue with friends meaning you're stuck with randoms of variable skill. Granted in the hayday of frontlines you generally only played with a couple of friends so most people were random. However this stacks onto the previous point that the grind is now longer so more matches with zero ability to joing with friends mean more and more frustration for players

3. No clear comms, I understand that you don't want people to flame one another however removing clear comms make everything more frustrating not less. It would have been better to simplify the report process so we can right click and report on player names in the chat if they flame than remove the ability to talk.

I know there are balance issues in PVP but that's always going to exist in PVP in every game, however the 3 points above are exclusive to the design of CC and the new milestone system, they're bad design choices that increase rage amongst players.
i just turn my brain off and go in, don't care about the rank just go in to grind out the pass. did that with an alt and came out with plat lol
