To be fair, like ranger, these classes deviate from their roles as outlined specifically by their jobs.
Warrior is a Variable DD/Tank and THM goes for more surviability/hybrid assist then a straight DD.
The only thing that's pushing them over the edge in their chose damage role is the Class Specific Weapons, which are components for the Job Specific Relics in turn.
So really it all boils down to the next wave of weaponry/abilities we get in 2.0 that pull things one way or another. For Damage wise, Dragoon beats out Lancer, there's just too many tools DRG gets that assists in that function. LNC, on the otherhand, can be built more tanky, which is why I think that Lancer's next Job to shift into may be in the tank role.
