    it's probably "hard" when the content was new. But right now those content it's just easier or equals to normal difficulty compare to current content (dungeons and trials)
    so yeah, they really rename it so that new players won't get scared to do it when they see "hard" in the tittle

    It's nothing to do with it being hard when it was new – they're called that because they're on the same difficulty level as Ifrit/Titan/Garuda "Hard" despite having no simple four-man version to be differentiated from.
