We have a unique opportunity to get approximate numbers on how many plots are being returned to supply by demolition resuming as of Patch 6.3.
The 45 day period will end at approximately 1:15am PST on the 24th (will likely be a little earlier depending on when the patch maintenance on the servers was completed versus when the servers actually came back online).
With the lottery entry period in progress until the 25th (7am PST), available plots can be counted on the 23rd then a second time on the 24th to see how many become newly available overnight. The vast majority of them will be from auto-demolition (not likely to have many players giving them up voluntarily though I know of a few looking to get their 80% refunds before transferring to non-New worlds).
This is more for curiosity since the conditions created by demo being suspended then resuming wouldn't match what would have happened if demo had never been suspended. But it could still give us an idea of just how effective is demolition with the current competition for houses. Will it be 20% returning to the available supply as some hope, or only 2%?
If you want to help with this census, please post the world name and the counts from both the 23rd and 24th (posts can be made with the 23rd numbers then edited later to add the numbers from the 24th).
If you play on the EU worlds, there is no point getting numbers since demo is suspended again there due to the earthquake.
A grand total for all available plots on your world is fine though some might want to give a more detailed breakdown by district and/or size. No point in doing it by FC/personal since the ward designations were added 4 months after demolition was suspended so the previous owner may not match the current ward type.
