It would be fantastic to have my Beautiful Branch. Bonus points if she says something in that Welsh/Scottish/Irish? (I think Irish...) accent when she casts the big abilities.

EDIT: Though...I suppose she isn't EXACTLY Lily, but maybe they could make it an optional summon-glamour quest instead, so instead of an ability, it'll be some quest you do where Lily agrees to sort of "host" Feo Ul so she can cross the dimensional barrier to hang out with us. But who knows?

Also, what IS the difference between pixies and faeries? I always thought pixies were a type of faerie...and it's not like we've found any other faeries on the Source OR any of the Shards. Like...SCH's made pacts with them...but where the heck do they come from??

I mean they gave us seraph summon and that was just weird to be honest. Seraph? Where does she fit in the fairy/sch lore? So I’m sure they can work it out to give us Feo. Heck she comes to us everytime we call for her anyway so shouldn’t be difficult.

I don’t want glamour I want us to summon her and give us huge shield/heal or heck even a crazy buff to the party. Feo will be an amazing addition to our fairy/angel/pixie arsenal.

I’m not a lore junkie so not sure about the fairy vs pixie. I mean fairies look more human like while pixies look very nature like with insect looking wings while fairies have butterfly wings.

I mean, Scholars are Nymian and from the Source, how could they have any links to an entity from another world in the first place? Feo Ul also isn’t a ‘fairy’, not in the sense that Eos or Selene is, since she’s not an artificial construct made of aether bound to the Scholar’s soul stone. Further, how would they then explain an omnipresent Feo Ul? It makes sense for primals because you’re basically just summoning a photocopy made of their aether, and they’re no longer manifested in Eorzea.
How would it work when you’re summoning something that’s still active (and standing next to herself 3 times lol), even if it is on another world.

As for Seraph, I can only assume it’s the fairy’s ‘true form’; Seraph is what you’d see Nymian Scholars in the past summoning as opposed to Eos/Selene. It’s made clear throughout the Scholar storyline that our control and influence over the fairy isn’t absolute, so I assumed that’s why we only end up summoning one half of her each time (Eos or Selene). Summon Seraph is basically putting your all into the summoning to awaken the actual Fairy herself and not just aspects of her. But since our control isn’t absolute, we can’t sustain it for long. That’s all pure conjecture though.

The form also makes sense to me. Fairies essentially work on the same principles as primals/summoned entities, so the form manifests based on the beliefs of the summoners. Considering she was designed to fly around the battlefield saving the lives of soldiers and strengthening them, it makes sense they’d see her as some kind of ‘High-Ranking Guardian Angel’, and that her form would change to match that (hence the glowing Angel fairy lol).

My headcanon is that WoL was affected by the First's abundance of Light Aether that our skills and abilities were affected by it (WHM suddenly throwing out Glare and Dia, SCH getting Seraph, and AST already drawing power of the stars got their card effects changed to flavors of Balance - the Solar Arcana -- aka the Sun for its representation of Light, and got nerfed to death on release because they can't see the night sky).

Whether that's actually canon remains to be seen because we didn't get a job storyline quest for those levels...

Much as I'd love a Feo Ul summon...Seraph as the "true" Lily actually makes a lot of sense. You also summon HER for SCH's L3 LB.

Though as to the "how would it work" - I'm not sure if Faeries are "constructs". How we summon them is, but SCH lore suggests that each SCH stone, when created, does so by making a PACT with a Faerie, which suggests that they exist independently and weren't created beings. Either that, or they were created but THEN were self-sustaining (enough) and had free will (enough to enter into pacts; and we see Lily have free will in some of the SCH quests, like preventing the killing blow on Curito) that the Scholars then made pacts with them.

Well...we made a pact with Feo Ul. It's how she's able to travel to the Source in a dream state to visit our Retainers and how she's able to hear us TECHNICALLY anywhere that we go and call on her. Which, by extension, should mean that she's connected to our aethertrail (how we're able to teleport back and forth between Source and First), and between that and the pact with us, we should be able to summon her whenever if she agreed to that. There might be a lore question about why she would only be able to take her smaller form and not her Titania form (easy enough to answer when not on the First, but when ON the First, she presumably should have access to the fullness of her powers), but between the SCH pact with Lily already and seeing how pacts with Voidsent and even Primals can work, I'm pretty sure there is more than a little argument for Feo Ul to be able to use Lily as a medium (provided Lily consented to all this) to come and help us out from time to time.

As far as I understand it, pixies are a sort of 'arcane entity', it's why they refer to us as 'mortals' all the time. If they were an actual regular, living thing too, then they wouldn't make the distinction based on mortality, I'd assume. So, in that regard, I'd assume that the natural state of a pixie's existence is sort of like, a summoned thing like a carbuncle or egi, but they also have a soul of their own, so i guess that might complicate things a little. Summoning it to a different location would not be all that difficult? I guess when Feo goes to the Source to deliver messages, they're in a similar state we had during the EW MSQ when we got to zone 5, 'there' but not corporeal enough to manifest enough to have physical presence. Which we overcame by just being given aether. So if we gave Feo's ghostly form aether, they'd be able to manifest in our world for a bit. Say, 20 seconds every 2 minutes?

IDK, I think the point is less so whether Seraph is relevant or belongs in the kit, but that 'if Seraph is part of the kit, Feo should be too, even if it's as an optional reskin for Seraph'. Just add a hidden cutscene/miniquest where you have to say 'Feo Ul, I need you' in /say chat outside the castle and beg for their assistance once you're level 80.
