Calling it crazy is fine. I'm just talking about the organized effort to derail the thread earlier. Which uh... well, judging by the current conversation, I guess succeeded. RIP.

Organized? You make it sound like people plan this all out like a conspiracy against them. I actually bowed out of these threads for a while and just watched. They derailed on their own long before I even got involved. It's almost like there are WAAAAAAYYYYY more people done with OPs antics than they are for.

I mean, when you've got A.) a dude that pops in and straight up calls for others to derail the thread; and B.) a bunch of familiar posters showing up to derail said thread, it's rather difficult not to see that as being organized at least on some level. :P Even if it's only organized in the sense of, "oh, he said to do the thing, let's go do the thing lolololo."

There's literally nothing to discuss though. Aveyond's got no interest in discussing his edgy teenage fanfiction with us, so why should we? Nothing wrong with turning a negative topic into something useful (the god discussion).

The god discussion certainly did have merit. It wasn't entirely off topic, though. Tangential yes, but it somewhat related back to the subject of the Twelve. Just not so much whatever Aveyond wrote in the first post.

Were you the one that posted the cat art? If so, partially. I'm not so much pointing fingers as observing that someone calling for a derail being followed immediately by a successful derail, even if it wasn't derailed into what the person asking for it requested, comes off quite as quite pointed when one considers the seemingly collaborative effort of some other posters to shut down Aveyond threads.

I'm not interested in the "why" to be honest. Like the dude, don't like him. Agree or disagree. It's irrelevant to me. I'm just making note of what I've seen occurring, and not just in this particular thread.

Last message and then I'm done with this discussion. People are tired cause there is no debate to be had. He wants an echo chamber and that's it. So if there isn't going to be a discussion...they will turn it into something else. I don't blame them.

They also have fun with it. They know he won't change and so they know exactly what is going on just by seeing the name. OP has a playbook...so does the rest.

3. The rest are sick of it so they change it.

I'm not sure why, and I'm not seeing like, a message telling me about it? So... uhh... Hi mod, whoever/wherever you are, not sure why you deleted my post but okay.

Isn't that just helping Aveyond, if you think about it? People that really dislike the dude/his posts would be better served by just not engaging. Mind you, I'm not saying this in the "lololo silence the dissenters" sense, I'm being completely genuine. What this actually does is keep pushing the post count, which in turn keeps people coming back to the thread for more, which in turn means Aveyond will continue to accrue upvotes over time and gain more of those dumb participation tro--I mean forum medals.

People keep trying to give this advice regarding troll threads and certain other posters, but people just don't do it. I think some of the people here have given up trying at this point and just go for entertainment value lol. IIRC this is my first time actually really engaging in an Aveyond thread myself.

I asked Aveyond why the gods HAD to be fighting, and what was wrong with them testing us for whatever mysterious reason. I then predicted that he'd ignore me/anyone who disagrees with him (which, gasp, he did lolll).

it's this, Absimiliard. People can't have a conversation with people who are so reductive, inflexible and restricted in their views. One thing would be if they'd keep it to themselves in specific threads and so on and so forth. But the fact that he does this so often feels intentional. People have given him an answer months ago. He could have changed, but didn't. And after a while, people just stop caring overall. You'll see people derail, you'll see people turn it into a lighthearted foolish thread. And I'm sorry but I'm sure plenty of the people who do so are doing it end up finding the derail far more pleasant and sometimes even more constructive than answering OP directly.

There's no grand cabal against him. No coordinated movement.

Just a collective sigh from people who read his threads and have become tired of the same-old same-old time and time again and know there will be no discussion if they take it at all seriously.

I agree with Awesome, in a way: just ignore him. He's not worth engaging with, and derailing the threads is just not going to work. It won't change his mind, it won't change his opinions, it won't change his attitude, and it certainly won't change people's outlook toward him.
