This is not really a 'bug' per-se, but a lot of the emotes in this game are completely unintuitive as they are currently translated.
I have all the emotes, so using the emote UI to find the one I want can also be extremely frustrating, especially if I don't remember its name or slash command.
The thing that makes it hard is that most of the English slash commands aren't even a word in the actual emote string.
For example, the '/gratuity' emote does not contain the word 'gratuity', it says 'x scattered coins about the area'.
Why not add several slash commands for each of these emotes, so that I don't have to hunt through my list of hundreds of emotes to find the one or two obscure words that I need to type to activates it?
'/gratuity' emote, for example, could be
/coins
/tip
/money
/makeitrain
/throwcoins
etc.
Some other, particularly egregious examples include -
/upset - the string is 'x looks disgusted'... so why not
/disgusted
/disgust
/gross
/nasty
/vexed - the string is 'x is visibly infuriated'... so why not
/infuriated
/fury
/rage
/angry
/mad
/*$%
/grr
/sweat - the string is 'x wipes her brow'... so why not
/wipe
/hot
/fan
/handfan
/wipebrow
/consider - the string is 'a question springs to your mind'... so why not
/question
/?
/what
/eureka - the string is 'you experience a brief moment of enlightenment'... so why not
/enlightened
/!
/aha
/laugh - this one, at least the string contains the word, but why not also add
/haha
/lol
/funny
/goodbye - same thing, it contains the word, but why not also include
/bye
/later
/seeya
/waterfloat - why not also just /float
I'm sure with the creative minds there, you can come up with many more examples, but I trust you see my point. It's really frustrating to be interacting with people, only to remember 'hey there's an emote that would convey my feelings really well here... but I can't remember the really obscure string I'm supposed to type to activate it', and when you finally figure it out, the moment has passed.
