What has become apparent is that I've definitely had more exposure to what most adult men look and behave like both in real life and in other games. Not everyone has this frame of reference, hence the bizarre twists to try and justify this as masculine, with Lucy Pevensie's hairclip in his hair and all:

I also quite like bishounen looking men who, despite looking quite pretty, are still very masculine in terms of personality and their voice. Estinien fits this very nicely, I really love him, although they need to give him his lips back.

If he suddenly became useless and literally didnt do anything at ALL, then Id agree.
