    Was the V&C Dungeon Finder a waste of time?

    Im struggling to understand the choice to make a new dungeon system, in another menu, in another system finder.

    I honestly forgot that V&C Dungeons were a thing till I clicked the Duty button on the bottom of the screen by mistake. So I got curious to see if anyone was still doing them, low and behold 1/4 party members for quite a while.

    So, why is this in a seperate section from Duty Finder on the 'U' shortcut key?

    Even if they were in the normal DF menu the queue would still be pretty empty. The ones people care about people just solo, and the harder difficulties are not worth running.

    Both the V&C Dungeons and duty finder was a waste of time. They could have added more content instead that more players would have used than just a few.

    I completely agree. I should have to sit in Limsa shouting for people to join my party so that I can run Expert Roulette each day, instead of clicking a button and waiting for a duty to pop. The people that were programming Duty Finder could of been doing more important things like creating more Trial bosses or better looking art assets.

    Yes.

    They stubbornly refused to give players what they asked for. Players wanted harder dungeons. Something similar to Mythic+. Open environments with lots of hard hitting mobs and a chance to utilize our aoe toolkits, some stuns and interrupts, pick up some decent but not crazy gear and rewards and generally just something you could hop into with a few friends and go through a few runs while still being suitably engaged by the challenge.

    Instead we got solo duties and 4 man Savage bosses. Nothing like Mythic+ one bit. And they wasted developer resources on that rubbish and will now tell us "see, we gave you hard dungeons and you didn't want them".

    Add in one upgrade material for the Tome gear per week + a book and people will run it.

    True, but the question is it difficult enough to warrant another way to obtain raid-iLvl-equivalent gear?

    Yes, and it is not synchronized content, you need raid gear to clear it, so it makes absolute sense to drop gear, the entire thing is on par with P5-7 savage

    There is no replay ability, you run it 10 times and your done, the novelty of "explore with npcs" is out the window after the first run, the "variant" part of fighting the same boss with 1 different mechanic is ... well its still 90% the same boss.

    Lets be honest, if you did Variant you did so for 2 reasons "lets try it out" or "lets get the mount", the first will run it like 2-3 times and get bored of it. The second will get a guide on how to solve puzzles, looking for the path of least resistance is in the blood of humans.

    As for ASS, its 4 mini ex trials you have to run 25 times to get a mediocre copy paste mount you likely already have (that isn't even part of a set and great goal). The last boss's teleport mechanic is the only annoying challenge in the entire thing. The Savage version is ... pointless to do unless you want the one achievement.

    But it needs less resources then Diadem > Eureka > Bozja ... where those flawed? yea, did they have content that kept you busy for more then 2h? If you liked it, yea.
    I had a lot of fun in BA and DR S earning loot, this feeling is completely lost when doing ASS at least imo.

    Fingers crossed Deep Dungeon is gonna be good, else EW is gonna have some of the most "meh" side content since ARR, yes everything looks great but its really shallow sadly.
    Keep in mind we are now on 6.3 which means the content cycle is about 70-80% done and we still have about a year till 7.0
