If you're that determined to improve, it is possible to do so just by practicing with a striking dummy. You don't need ACT or any other add-ons.

It was well known on Faerie after the first server clear of T13 (back in ARR days, wouldn't be well known now) that there was a bard in the group that beat it first. That bard's raid group liked to let everyone know he was the best bard on the server. And everyone believed he was. Everyone knew his name.

Now, my husband was in the raid group that beat it second on Faerie. He also played bard. Really well. His raid group liked to also brag about him in their shared FC. So someone from the other bard's raid group asked if he could parse my husband and the other bard to see who was better (as a legitimately friendly competition). And during that parse, my husband came out on top.

My husband has always played on console. He never parsed to improve. He taught himself through feedback he got from randoms and through his own trial and error.

I know it sounds farcical. I didn't believe it either until one day I logged in and interacted with some of my husbands old raid team. I even met the other bard who confirmed the story.

TLDR; you don't need ACT to improve. You don't need any add-ons to improve. It is 100% possible to do with the tools the game provides. (Striking dummies and such)
