Need advice: static imploding because of cheater.

I tried to solve a rubik's cube the other day.
I got most of the way, but decided to paint over the sides that didn't fit.
It was great fun though, and I feel proud and accomplished. Not many people can beat a rubik's cube, and I'm one of them.

First off, so many bringing the various types of Third-party Changes, like if it had any meaning or worth in the conversation.
You all are just getting people stuck on a loop to clarify and change the subject.
[TLDR: If it's accessibility, then one should ask SE to implement, unless its extreme levels of accessibility, which I'm sure the know they won't take down cause of bad PR. Stuff like color would/should be in.]
(This is not part of the Original Topic.^ and visual changes don't matter as it's semantics and distracts from the topic Disingenuously.)

Second: There is no point in denying or trying to worm out of the fact that cheating is illegal in this game. Specifically in this topic, any kind of Third-party adjustment or changes.(ties into above, stop bringing up ifs or maybe, not this one)
Full stop undeniable.

Third: OP had communication disconnect for a sec with their parties desires.
but many make the minority or chunk seem like a large majority.
Many players are casual or like the struggle.[I myself like a fair PVP but we know there are Black sheep to cull there]
So their needs for Third-party Cheats are very minor. it's only a few who believe they can clear regardless. without merit to that belief. or those who believe they have the right to play outside the box they bought into.

If anything, you all just shone a light on them as an appealing lead(if only they can learn to COMMUNICATE a bit more) for those who want no nonsense.

We don't need Third-party in this game, and if there is something that is needed, we need to ask for it.(though many do not. or face opposition saying it exists as a Mod, so no.)
[The extreme cases of accessibility will exist without SE doing anything to them, they are not a point to bring up]

Cut and dry, this whole thread only grew cause people liked to think their view on Cheating mattered. When it was set in stone long ago what should and shouldn't exist.[and what we as players should demand from them to implement, and not push things til it explodes/implements in a chaotic way like timers.]

Again, still doesn't make a difference if Square can't enforce the ToS properly without community reports.

So was op right to remove the guy from their static? it's their static their choice. However, OP went about it in the most stupid way possible and shot themselves in the foot.
Diplomacy and communication are key to being an effective static leader, you should have talked to your static mates and to the offender to hear their opinions on the situation. This would also better inform your opinion and yes, you should give him a chance to stop using it even if your assumptions would end up being correct, for two reasons 1. you could be wrong . 2. It's about doing due diligence, crossing your i's and t's it would have made you look more level-headed rather than someone who is rash and on a short trigger. Since this now can affect your future finding replacements due to you having this reputation.

I am still skeptical that OP gave us the entire story. It seems unlikely that after some time of raiding that they just so happened to find out they were cheating and immediately boot/block them without any kind of request to stop or warning of some kind. Especially since they were streaming the mods. It sounds more likely to me that there was some kind of falling out and they are using modding as an excuse to kick someone and that is really why everyone is mad. That is just speculation though, no way to say for sure..

What is the value in the achievement if it wasn't earned legitimately? I remember playing FFXI and players would use hacks and I didn't want to be part of it. It cheapens what you earn. The same way I wouldn't say I felt good about beating Ninja Gaiden on the NES by way of using emulator save states. I can say that I beat the game, but not legitimately.

Oh boy... only you can answer these questions OP:

- You're the leader, so it's your rules.
- Do you have absolute rules? Or do you put it to a vote.
- If it's absolute and you want no addons: They can deal and leave and you can find new players. Are you willing to do this?
- If it's put to a vote: Does everyone care about the addons? Do you? Should you leave and form a new addon-free static?
- Can you prove that everyone else you're raiding with is not using some kind of addon? Do you care if they keep it to themselves?
- And finally: You're not racing for World First. Do you really care of George the Player is using stuff to clear? Does it affect you?

Anyway... I don't even raid so take my opinion from that perspective.
