What would anyone do without the opinions on savage and ultimate content from people never touching savage or ultimate content? I for one cant live without it.

It does affect others, in as much negative as positive. I'm pretty sure third party tools contributed to you being able to see how much time buffs/debuffs people have left in your party window.
I'm not exactly for them, but the reason they are so widespread is because the category third party tools is too general a description to imply a completely negative or a positive thing. I've seen some texture packs for FFXI, a 20 year old game, that if I were to play the game today I would consider almost essential being in a 4k monitor. And those things likely contribute to the life of XI, which wouldn't be online today if it were no longer making a profit for SE.
Why is it that whenever someone cheats in XIV, people always bring out the "but what about texture mods"
I'm talking about cheating. Literal cheating. Qol stuff is not cheating. Paisley Park was cheating.

Paisley Park? The mod that automatically moved markers in TEA? That one is why we have no movable markers in combat.
Wow, it's almost like I've been raiding in XIV since 2013. Unlike some people I post with my actual character, my achievements are public, and I don't hide my logs.
Because you weren't talking about cheating, you were talking about third party tools and an effect they had on others. here is the quote:
If you had said cheating to gain an advantage in fights, I wouldn't have said what I did.
I thought it was public knowledge the use of cheating (through a 3rd party tool) is what caused the removal of the ability of in combat marker placement. I guess I was wrong.
The cringey I’m successful irl claim. Just when I thought I couldn’t think less of you, you prove me wrong. Guess you finally got me
No that is incorrect, SE has even said so. Players are circumventing difficulty by using mods, meaning if the design teams wants to make truly difficult content they would need to account for players having mods making the game easier. They obviously dont want to do this as it would force players who dont use mods to get them to complete content. This is why WoW is the way it is. They allowed mods, people got used to playing with them, and now to make challenging content they have to consider them or the content they create will be too easy.
I seem to recall a marker placement macro series that completely bypassed arena restrictions heavily contributing to that change as well. Markers started outside, then were moved inside mid-combat at a certain point. Or was it the other way around? Been a while.
