    Zenos will return as part of the 6.5 Hildebrand quest. After watching Hildy do his thing, Zenos decides he was better off dead and throws himself into the sun.

    Still gets added to the closing dance number, though.

    I can think of something extra spicy.

    Some Asahi-level simps in-universe get to Ultima Thule and pray super hard for him to come back, he briefly regains enough of himself to become aware of that fact, notes that they're creepy af, and he ultimately decides that he alone is the master of his own fate and that his return to life shouldn't be dictated by anyone but the WoL. Then he offs himself immediately afterwards.

    The whole dissolving into aether thing has never been consistent anyway. More than anything, it's depended on whether we needed a body around for the following scenes or not.
