Just like FFXI, make all Artifact armor wearable by all classes

The moment you mastered a job by acquiring the required JP, you could wear the outfit of another job while using the abilities and actions of the job you mastered

I think they should bring it back with artifact armor in this game, which is basically the identifiable outfits of each job

... seriously, at least BLM clothing is clothing. I'm all for removing Glamour restrictions, immersion be damned... though more than likely it would benefit, as at least that gear's designed to look at least somewhat combat-ready

I am all for this. Unlock all gear for glamour, including AF. I think the rules used in XI would be just fine. To use a piece for glamour, you first have to be at the proper level to equip the gear normally. So for example to use a level 80 DRG boot as glam on another job, your DRG would first need to be level 80.

Immersion was tossed out the window yeaaaaars ago. This would give people reason to spend time leveling more jobs and farming up all that gear they previously had no use for.

The OP is requesting job-specific armor. In FFXI there were quests to obtain the five pieces, plus weapon, in quests that start at level 40 and continue with a quest for the final piece at level 60. The current meta (I think), is to wait until you hit level 99 to go after them.

The FFXIV equivalent is the level 90 gear you receive in a chest for completing the level 50 job quest.

Artifact Armor in FFXI can be useful at max level in some cases, as it can be upgraded. Level 90 gear loses its power once you start gearing up in Heavensward with level 115 gear. The two gearing systems are different enough that I don't see how SE could incorporate it into the game other than how they have already.

I think you may be overcomplicating the request.

Both XI and XIV have job (role) specific gear and AF. We don't need to rework how AF is obtained in XIV, just give the option to glamour it (and all the other role-specific gear) once certain requirements are met.
