Random 'Version Update Needed/Required, Please Relaunch the Game to Update' message.

Update 2/12/23 5:38pm MST: Just finished the complete reinstall, after removing all game files...and it works again. There has got to be a better way to fix this issue...



So this has happened 3 times since I started playing the game again, so within the last couple months.

The first time it happened, I just reinstalled the game, no issue afterward.

Second time, I did some more research, looking up possible causes/fixes. Most of these involved either hardware or software that I didn't have. One fix did apply to me however, so I tried it: It was related to AMD motherboard chipsets, primarily x570 chipsets, and reinstalling/updating the chipset drivers. I did this, and it worked, so yay! back to playing...until today, about a week later.

Third time (today), I was playing, and wanted to record some videos (I use Windows Game Bar), and was having issues with it (that will be another post if needed, I don't think its related) and making some changes to game bar, I launched the game, and got the error message (see title), restarted, no update took place, game errors again.

Since I already updated my chipset drivers, that wouldn't work, so I reinstalled them...no change, error persists.

So I went into the config of the launcher and am currently repairing the game files (basically redownloading all the patch files again) as I know this definitely works.

The big question is, why does this keep happening, and is there a better, faster way to fix it? (repatching for me takes about 2 hours or so)
